सुप्रीम कोर्ट की तीन जजों की बेंच ने आज एससी एसटी एक्ट में तुरंत गिरफ्तारी को लेकर केंद्र सरकार की ओर से दाखिल पुनर्विचार याचिका पर फैसला आ गया है. सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने इस याचिका फैसला देते हुए कहा कि इस नियम के अंतर्गत गिरफ्तारी और जांच को लेकर गाइडलाइंस बनाने का फैसला गलत था, ये काम कोर्ट का नहीं है.

महर्षि वाल्मीकि की तुलना तालिबान से करने के आरोप में मशहूर शायर मुनव्वर राना की मुश्किलें बढ़ गई हैं. उनके खिलाफ लखनऊ के हजरतगंज थाने में एफआईआर दर्ज की गई है. राना के खिलाफ एससी/एसटी एक्ट के तहत हजरतगंज थाने में मुकदमा दर्ज किया गया है. आंबेडकर महासभा ने एफआईआर दर्ज करने की मांग करते हुए तहरीर दी थी.
आंबेडकर महासभा ने मुनव्वर राना के तालिबान और महर्षि वाल्मीकि की तुलना करते हुए दिए गए बयान पर नाराजगी जताई. अखिल भारत हिंदू महासभा और सामाजिक सरोकार फाउंडेशन की तहरीर पर मुकदमा दर्ज किया गया है. एससी/एसटी एक्ट के अलावा 153-ए, 295-ए और 505 1-बी के तहत मुकदमा दर्ज किया गया है.
शायर मुनव्वर राना ने तालिबान को लेकर पूछे गए सवाल पर विवादित बयान दिया था. उन्होंने एक निजी चैनल से बात करते हुए कहा था कि तालिबान उतने ही आतंकी हैं, जितने रामायण लिखने वाले वाल्मीकि हैं. राना से पूछा गया था कि तालिबान आतंकी संगठन है या नहीं. इसके जवाब में मशहूर शायर ने कहा था कि अगर वाल्मीकि रामायण लिखते हैं तो वह देवता हो जाते हैं, उससे पहले वह डाकू थे. आदमी का किरदार बदलता रहता है.

Supreme Court ने Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes (SC/ST) अत्याचार निवारण कानून के प्रावधानों को हल्का करने के दो सदस्यीय पीठ के फैसले को मंगलवार को निरस्त कर दिया। न्यायमूर्ति Arun Mishra, न्यायमूर्ति MR Shah और न्यायमूर्ति Bhushan Gawai की पीठ ने केंद्र सरकार की पुनर्विचार याचिका पर सुनवाई के बाद पुराने फैसले को रद्द कर दिया। गौरतलब है कि न्यायमूर्ति मिश्रा और न्यायमूर्ति उदय उमेश ललित की खंडपीठ ने केन्द्र एवं अन्य की पुनर्विचार याचिकाओं को तीन सदस्यीय पीठ के सुपुर्द कर दिया था।दो सदस्यीय पीठ ने मार्च 2018 में एससी/एसटी कानून के प्रावधानों को हल्का किया था, जिसे केन्द्र एवं अन्य ने पुनर्विचार का अदालत से अनुरोध किया था।
