Tension prevailed morning in Kerala's Nilakkal, the main gateway to Sabarimala, after the police used force to disperse devotees opposing the entry of girls and women of menstrual age into the hill shrine.
Acting tough, the police, deployed in large numbers in Nilakkal, some 20 kms away from the Sabarimala hilltop, also removed a makeshift shelter erected by a protesting group Sabarimala Achara Samrakshana Samiti. The protesting group of devotees had been staging a sit-in chanting Ayyappa mantra in the shelter in protest against the Supreme Court order permitting women of all age groups to enter the shrine.
The protesting people, who were less in numbers, ran from the spot when the police initiated action in the early hours on Wednesday when they tried to block the buses from the key entry point to the temple. Hours ahead of opening of the hill shrine for the monthly prayer, the police said they would not let anyone to block the movement of the people.
Taking the full control of Nilakkal, Police also warned against those who create hurdles in the ways of pilgrims to the hill shrine. The police took strong action against the protesters after some of them checked the vehicles heading to Pamba and prevented the women in the age group of 10 and 50 from entering the hill shrine.

പമ്പയില് നിന്നും സന്നിധാനത്തേക്കുള്ള വഴിയില് ഒരിടത്തും വിശ്രമിക്കാതെ 4 കിലോമീറ്ററോളം വരുന്ന മലകയറ്റം ഒന്നര മണിക്കൂറെടുത്താണ് അദ്ദേഹം പൂര്ത്തിയാക്കിയത്. സ്വാമി അയ്യപ്പന് റോഡു വഴിയുള്ള യാത്രയില് വിശ്രമിക്കാന് പലയിടങ്ങളിലും സുരക്ഷാ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥര് പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നെങ്കിലും അതൊന്നും വേണ്ട എന്നായിരുന്നു പിണറായിയുടെ മറുപടി. മല കയറ്റത്തിന്റെ ഓരോ ഘട്ടവും ചോദിച്ചും കണ്ടും മനസിലാക്കിയായിരുന്നു മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയുടെ യാത്ര. രാത്രി 10.30ന് സന്നിധാനത്ത് എത്തി.
മലകയറ്റം നല്ല അനുഭവമായിരുന്നെന്നായിരുന്നു മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയുടെ പ്രതികരണം.

ബിജെപി ആസൂത്രണം ചെയ്ത സമരമാണ് നടന്നതെന്ന് വിശദമാക്കുന്നതാണ് ശ്രീധരന്പിള്ളയുടെ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തല്. പൊലീസിനെ മുട്ടുകുത്തിച്ചത് തന്ത്രിയുടെ നടയടയ്ക്കുമെന്ന നിലപാടായിരുന്നെന്നും ശ്രീധരന്പിള്ള വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നു. വിശ്വാസികളാണ് സമരം നടത്തിയതെന്ന വാദം പൊളിക്കുന്നതാണ് ശ്രീധരന് പിള്ളയുടെ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തല്.

പോലീസിന്റെ വിശ്രമ കേന്ദ്രത്തിലേക്കാണ് ഇവരെ കൊണ്ട് പോയത്. പോലീസ് സമാധാനപരമായി ഇവരെ മാറ്റി കൊണ്ട് പോകുകയായിരുന്നു. യുവതികൾ ഇതിൽ പ്രതിഷേധിച്ച് റോഡിൽ കുത്തിയിരുന്നു. തുടർന്ന് പോലീസ് ഇവരെ ബലം പ്രയോഗിച്ചു ആംബുലന്സിലേക്ക് മാറ്റുകയായിരുന്നു.
ചന്ദ്രാനന്തം റോഡ് മുതല് നടപ്പന്തല്വരെ പ്രതിഷേധക്കാര് കുത്തിയിരിന്നു. പല പ്രതിഷേധക്കാരും റോഡിനിരുവശത്തുമുണ്ടായിരുന്ന വസ്തുക്കള് റോഡിലിട്ട് തടസം സൃഷ്ടിക്കാന് ശ്രമിച്ചു. സന്നിധാനത്ത് ദ്രുതകര്മ്മ സേനയെ പൊലീസ് വിന്യസിച്ചു.
ആദ്യം തന്നെ പൊലീസ് ബിന്ദുവിനോടും കനകദുര്ഗയോടും പ്രതിഷേധത്തെ കുറിച്ച് പറഞ്ഞെങ്കിലും പിന്മാറാന് തയ്യാറല്ലെന്ന ഉറച്ച നിലപാടിലായിരുന്നു അവര്. നിരോധനാജ്ഞ നിലനില്ക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലമാണെന്നും പ്രതിഷേധക്കാരോട് പിരിഞ്ഞു പോകാനും പൊലീസ് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു.
എന്നാല് റോഡില് നിന്ന് പിരിഞ്ഞു പോകാന് പ്രതിഷേധക്കാര് തയ്യാറായില്ല.
ഇന്നലെ യുവതികള് എത്തുമ്പോള് ഉന്നത പൊലീസ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥര് സന്നിധാനത്ത് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല. ഇന്ന് എല്ലാ ഉന്നത പൊലീസ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരും ശബരിമലയില് എത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.
മൂന്ന് ഡിവൈഎസ്പിമാരും സിഐമാരും യുവതികള്ക്ക് സുരക്ഷയൊരുക്കാനായി ശബരിമലയില് എത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. എന്നാല് ചന്ദ്രാനന്തം റോഡ് വളരെ ഇടുങ്ങിയതും ഏറെ അപകടം നിറഞ്ഞതാണ്. ഒരു വശത്ത് കൊക്കയും മറുവശത്ത് കാടുമാണ്. റോഡിനിരുവശത്തും പ്രതിഷേധക്കാര് ശക്തമായ രീതിയിലാണ് നിലയുറപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. പ്രതിഷേധക്കാര് വനത്തിലെ മരങ്ങളിലും മറ്റും കയറി നിലയുറപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഈ മണ്ഡല സീസണില് തന്നെ ശബരിമലയില് പ്രവേശിക്കാന് ആണ് ത്രിപ്തിയുടെ തീരുമാനം. ഒരു കൂട്ടം സ്ത്രീകൾക്ക് ഒപ്പമായിരിക്കും താന് എത്തുക. തിയ്യതി ഒരാഴ്ചക്കുള്ളില് പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കുമെന്നും തൃപ്തി ദേശായി പറയുന്നു . സുപ്രീം കോടതി വിധിയില് അതീവ സന്തോഷവതിയാണ് തൃപ്തി. അയ്യപ്പഭക്തരുടെ അഭിപ്രായം കൂടെ കേട്ട ശേഷമുണ്ടായ കോടതിവിധിയ്ക്കെതിരെ സമര്ടം ചെയ്യുന്നത് കോടതിയലക്ഷ്യമാണെന്നും തൃപ്തി ചൂണ്ടികാണിക്കുന്നു. കേരളത്തില് ഇപ്പോള് സുപ്രീം കോടതി വിധിക്കതിരെ നടക്കുന്ന പ്രതിഷേധങ്ങള് അനാവശ്യമാണ്. ഇത് ഭരണഘടനാ വിരുദ്ധവും സ്ത്രീകളുടെ മൗലികാവകാശങ്ങള്ക്ക് എതിരുമാണ്. ഇത്തരം സമരങ്ങള് എന്ത് കൊണ്ട് നടത്തുന്നു എന്ന് കോണ്ഗ്രസും ബി.ജെ.പിയും വ്യക്തമാക്കണം. ശബരിമലയില് എത്തുന്ന സ്ത്രീകളെ സ്വാഗതം ചെയ്യുകയാണ് എല്ലാവരും ചെയ്യേണ്ടത്. തൃപ്തി ദേശായി പറഞ്ഞു.

In an exclusive interview to ANI, Prime Minister tried to clear the air on BJP’s apparent contradiction in its stand on the controversial Triple Talaq Ordinance and the ban on entry of women between the age group of (10-50 years) in the Sabarimala Temple by saying the Ordinance against Triple Talaq was brought keeping in mind gender equality and social justice and it should not be seen as interference in religious issues.

The Supreme Court today referred to a larger bench the petitions seeking review of the apex court’s 2018 judgment allowing entry of women between the ages of 10 and 50 into the Sabarimala temple.Reading out the judgment, the bench said petitions had “sought to revive the debate about what's the religion and essential religious practices”. “Individual right to pray at temple cannot be superior to what is considered as religious by another sect is what petitions have argued,” the court said.

പതിറ്റാണ്ടുകളായി ശബരിമല അയ്യപ്പന്റെ ഉറക്കുപാട്ടായ ഹരിവരാസനത്തിന് മാറ്റം വരുത്തുന്ന മണ്ഡലകാലമായേക്കും ഇത്തവണത്തേത്. ഈണത്തില് മാറ്റം വരുത്താതെ, പാട്ടില് അറിയാതെ വന്നുപോയ ഒരു പിഴവ് തിരുത്തിയും മൂലരൂപത്തിലെ സ്വാമി എന്ന പദം കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്ത്തുമായിരിക്കും വീണ്ടും ആലപിക്കുക. ഹരിവരാസനം ട്രസ്റ്റാണ് ഈ തീരുമാനം എടുത്തത്. കഴിഞ്ഞ തീര്ത്ഥാടന കാലത്താണ് കീര്ത്തനം എഴുതിയ പുറക്കാട് കോന്നത്തു വീട്ടില് ജാനകിയമ്മയുടെ കുടുംബക്കാര് ഇത്തരമൊരു ആവശ്യം ഉന്നയിച്ച് രംഗത്തെത്തിയത്. ഇതിനോട് ദേവസ്വം ബോര്ഡിനും അനുകൂല നിലപാടാണ്. ഈ മാസം 30നു കേരളത്തിലെത്തുമ്പോള് യേശുദാസ് ഹരിവരാസനം വീണ്ടും മാറ്റിപ്പാടുമെന്നാണ് റിപ്പോര്ട്ടുകള്.

ശബരിമലയില് 52 വയസുകാരിയായ തൃശൂര് സ്വദേശിനി ലളിതയെ തടഞ്ഞ 200 പേര്ക്കെതിരെ കേസ്. ലളിത പരാതി നല്കിയതിനെത്തുടര്ന്നാണ് കേസ്. തൃശൂര് സ്വദേശി ലളിതക്കുനേരെ നടപ്പന്തലില്വച്ചാണ് പ്രതിഷേധമുയര്ന്നത്. മകന്റെ കുട്ടിയുടെ ചോറൂണിനാണ് ലളിത സന്നിധാനത്തെത്തിയത്.
ഇരുമുടിക്കെട്ടില്ലാതെ ലളിത വലിയ നടപ്പന്തലിലെത്തിയതോടെ പ്രതിഷേധവുമായി നൂറുകണക്കിന് ഭക്തര് പാഞ്ഞടുക്കുകയായിരുന്നു.
തിരിച്ചറിയില് രേഖ നല്കി പ്രായം ബോധ്യപ്പെടുത്താന് ലളിത ശ്രമിച്ചെങ്കിലും നല്കിയ രേഖ മാറിപ്പോയി. മകന്റെ ഭാര്യയുടെ തിരിച്ചറിയല് രേഖ നല്കിയത് പ്രതിഷേധം കനക്കാന് കാരണമായി. ഇവരെ പിന്തുടര്ന്നെത്തിയ ഭക്തര് ഏറെനേരം വന് പ്രതിഷേധവും രോഷവും ഉയര്ത്തി.
ലളിതയ്ക്ക് അന്പതു വയസിനുമുകളില് പ്രായയമുണ്ടെന്ന് ബോധ്യപ്പെട്ടതിനെ തുടര്ന്ന് പിന്നീട് ഭക്തര്തന്നെ ദര്ശനത്തിനുള്ള സൗകര്യം ഒരുക്കുകയായിരുന്നു.പൊലീസ് സുരക്ഷയൊരുക്കിയെങ്കിലും ഉന്തുംതള്ളുമുണ്ടായി. ലളിതയെ സുരക്ഷിത സ്ഥാനത്തേക്ക് മാറ്റി തിരിച്ചറിയല് രേഖ പരിശോധിച്ച പോലീസ് പ്രായം അന്പത്തിരണ്ടാണെന്ന് പ്രതിഷേധക്കാരെ അറിയിച്ചു.ദേഹാസ്വാസ്ഥ്യം അനുഭവപ്പെട്ട ലളിതയെ സന്നിധാനം ആശുപത്രിയിലേക്ക് മാറ്റി.

നടയടച്ച വിഷയത്തില് തന്ത്രി കണ്ഠര് രാജീവരോട് ദേവസ്വം ബോര്ഡ് വിശദീകരണം തേടും. ബോര്ഡിനോട് കൂടിയാലോചനകള് നടക്കാതെ നടയടച്ചത് ഗുരുതര പിഴവാണെന്ന് വിഷയത്തില് ദേവസ്വം ബോര്ഡിന്റെ നിലപാട്.
സുപ്രീം കോടതി വിധിക്കെതിരായ സമീപനമാണ് തന്ത്രി സ്വീകരിച്ചത് എന്നും ബോര്ഡ് ആരോപിക്കുന്നു .വിശദീകരണം നല്കാന് തന്ത്രിക്ക് നിശ്ചിത സമയം നല്കും. വിശദീകരണം തൃപ്തികരമല്ലെങ്കില് യോഗം ചേര്ന്ന് ശക്തമായ നടപടി കൈക്കൊള്ളാനാണ് ബോര്ഡ് തീരുമാനം. ഇത് എന്ത് നടപടിയായിരിക്കും എന്ന കാര്യം വ്യക്തമല്ല. ദേവസ്വം മാന്വലില് ഇക്കാര്യം കൃത്യമായി പറയുന്നില്ല.എന്നാല് ശുദ്ധിക്രിയ അടക്കമുള്ള പരിഹാര ക്രിയകള് ചെയ്യാന് തന്ത്രിക്ക് അവകാശമുണ്ടെന്ന് തന്നെയാണ് ബോര്ഡ് നിലപാട്.ബോര്ഡിനോട് ചോദിക്കാതെ നടയടച്ചു എന്ന വിഷയത്തില് മാത്രമാണ് വിശദീകരണം ചോദിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്.
കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം യുവതീ പ്രവേശനം മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി സ്ഥിരീകരിച്ചതിന് പിന്നാലെ തന്ത്രിയെ ദേവസ്വം ബോര്ഡ് പ്രസിഡന്റ് എ പത്മകുമാര് ഫോണില് വിളിച്ചിരുന്നു. തുടര്ന്ന് താന് നടയടക്കാന് പോവുകയാണ് എന്ന വിവരം പത്മകുമാറിനോട് തന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു. എന്നാല് മറ്റ് ബോര്ഡ് അംഗങ്ങളോട് ഇക്കാര്യം സംസാരിച്ച ശേഷം തീരുമാനിക്കാം എന്നായിരുന്നു പത്മകുമാറിന്റെ നിലപാട്. എന്നാല് തന്ത്രി ഇതിന് കാത്തുനില്ക്കാതെ നടയടക്കുകയായിരുന്നു.
നേരത്തെ തുലാമാസ പൂജ സമയത്ത് യുവതികള് പ്രവേശിച്ചാല് നടയടക്കുമെന്ന് തന്ത്രി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിരുന്നു.
ഇക്കാര്യത്തില് തന്ത്രി അഭിപ്രായം ചോദിച്ചിരുന്നുവെന്ന് ബി.ജെ.പി സംസ്ഥാന പ്രസിഡന്റ് ശ്രീധരന്പിള്ള വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയിരുന്നു. ഇതിനെ തുടര്ന്നും തന്ത്രിയോട് ബോര്ഡ് വിശദീകരണം തേടിയിരുന്നു. അന്ന് വിശദീകരണം തൃപ്തികരമായിരുന്നതിനാല് നടപടികള് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല.
ശബരിമലയിൽ യുവതീപ്രവേശത്തിന് പിന്നാലെ നടയടച്ചു ശുദ്ധിക്രിയ നടത്തിയ തന്ത്രിയുടെ നടപടി ഇന്നു സുപ്രീംകോടതിക്കു മുന്നിൽ.
