સુરતમાં ટ્રક ટ્રાન્સપોર્ટ અસોસિએશન દ્વારા અલગ અલગ રીતે વરોધ પ્રદશન કરીને હડતાલ કરવામાં આવે છે. ટ્રક ટ્રાન્સપોર્ટ અસોસિએશન દ્વારા સોમવારે ટેક્સટાઇલ માર્કેટમાં ભજીયા તળીને વિરોધ નોંધાવ્યો હતો. ત્યાર બાદ મંગળવારે ભાઠેના વિસ્તારમાં ટ્રાન્સપોર્ટ ગોડાઉનમાં ટ્રક ટ્રાન્સપોર્ટ અસોસિએશન દ્વારા સરકારને સદબુદ્ધિ આવે તે માટે હવનનું પણ આયોજન કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું. આ હડતાળના કારણે સુરત ટેક્સટાઇલ માર્કેટને થતા નુક્શાનની વાત કરવામાં આવે તો 4000થી વધુ ટ્રક હડતાલમાં જોડાવાના કારણે કાપડ વેપારીઓના 1200 કરોડથી વધુના ગુડ્સની ડિલીવરી અટકી પડી છે.
આ બાબતે ટ્રાન્સપોર્ટર્સ એસોસિએશનના પ્રમુખ યુવરાજ દેસલેએ જણાવ્યું કે હડતાળના કારણે 5 દિવસથી વેપારી, કારીગરો અને ટ્રાન્સપોર્ટર્સ મુશ્કેલીમાં મુકાય રહ્યા છે. ઓલ ઇન્ડિયા ટ્રાન્સપોર્ટર્સ એસોસિએશનના અન્ય એસોસિએશનનો સાથે પણ વાતચીત ચાલી રહી છે અને અમારા પ્રશ્નોનું નિરાકરણ સરકાર દ્વારા વહેલી તકે લાવવામાં નહિ આવે તો ટૂંક સમયમાં પેટ્રોલ-ડીઝલની હેરફેર પણ બંધ થાય તો પણ નવાઇ નહી.
