लखनऊ : उत्तर प्रदेश में 18वीं विधानसभा के लिए हो रहे चुनाव में चतुर्थ चरण के नौ जिलों की 59 सीटों पर बुधवार को मतदान होगा। इस चरण में 91 महिला प्रत्याशी समेत कुल 624 उम्मीदवार चुनाव मैदान में हैं। चतुर्थ चरण में 2.13 करोड़ मतदाता इन सभी उम्मीदवारों के भाग्य का फैसला करेंगे। प्रदेश के मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी अजय कुमार शुक्ल ने मंगलवार को यहां बताया कि बुधवार को प्रातः 07 बजे से सायं 06 बजे तक कड़ी सुरक्षा व्यवस्था के बीच चतुर्थ चरण का मतदान होगा। इस चरण की कुल 59 में से 16 सीटें अनुसूचित जाति के लिए आरक्षित हैं।मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी ने बताया कि निष्पक्ष व शांतिपूर्ण मतदान के लिए पुलिस ने भी अपनी तैयारियां पूरी कर ली हैं। भारी संख्या में अर्धसैनिक बल को पोलिंग बूथ के अलावा अन्य संवेदनशील स्थानों पर तैनात किया गया है। मतदान के लिए पोलिंग पार्टियां आज संबंधित जिला मुख्यालयों से मतदान केंद्रों के लिए रवाना कर दी गयी हैं।
उन्होंने बताया कि मतदान पर सतर्क दृष्टि रखने के लिए चुनाव आयोग ने 57 सामान्य प्रेक्षक, नौ पुलिस प्रेक्षक तथा 18 व्यय प्रेक्षक भी तैनात किये हैं। इसके अलावा एक हजार, 712 सेक्टर मजिस्ट्रेट, 210 जोनल मजिस्ट्रेट, 105 स्टैटिक मजिस्ट्रेट तथा तीन हजार,110 माइक्रो ऑब्जर्वर भी तैनात किये गये हैं। मतदान पर पर्यवेक्षण हेतु प्रत्येक जनपद के 50 प्रतिशत मतदेय स्थलों पर लाइव वेबकास्टिंग की व्यवस्था की गई है।

जिलाधिकारी दीपक मीणा और पुलिस कप्तान यशवीर सिंह सिद्धार्थनगर ज़िले में 6वे चरण में होने वाले विधानसभा चुनाव की तैयारियों का जायज़ा लेने के लिए भारत नेपाल के ककरहवा बॉर्डर का मुआयना किया। यहां दोनों अधिकारियों ने बॉर्डर पर बनाए गए बैरिकेट्स का निरीक्षण किया और वहां सुरक्षा में तैनात एसएसबी के अधिकारियों और जवानों से मिलकर सुरक्षा को लेकर जानकारी हासिल की। बॉर्डर की सुरक्षा को लेकर पुलिस कप्तान यशबीर सिंह ने कहा कि चुनाव के मद्देनजर भारत नेपाल की खुली सीमा के साथ सभी संवेदनशील और अतिसंवेदनशील बूथों पर सुरक्षा को लेकर व्यापक रणनीति बनाई गई है। बॉर्डर पर सुरक्षा को लेकर सीवीटी सहित अन्य सुरक्षा के सब्जी इंतेज़ाम किये गए है। संबंधित अधिकारी लगातार संपर्क में है। जो भी कमी होगी पूरी करी जाएगी।

खबर यूपी के अमेठी के हैं जहां बीते 26 अप्रैल को त्रिस्तरीय पंचायत चुनाव के दौरान जिले के 3 ग्राम पंचायतों में ग्रामीणों ने मतदान कर्मियों से हाथापाई करते हुए मत पेटी का लूट लिया था जिसके बाद पुलिस ने कार्यवाही करते हुए मतपेटिका को बरामद कर लूट करने वाले अभियुक्तों को गिरफ्तार कर जेल भेजा था।
चुनाव आयोग के निर्देश पर आज पुनः जामो थाना क्षेत्र के पूरे चितई, गौरीगंज थाना क्षेत्र के बस्तीदेयी और मोहनगंज थाना क्षेत्र के जनापुर मैं भारी सुरक्षा व्यवस्था के तहत पुनर्मतदान हो रहा है। पुलिस गांव में जाकर मतदाताओं को निडर होकर मतदान करने की अपील कर रही है। अपील का असर यह रहा कि भारी संख्या में मतदाता बूथ पर पहुंचे और अपने मताधिकार का प्रयोग कर रहे हैं।
पुलिस व प्रशासन के अधिकारी मतगणना स्थल पर शांतिपूर्ण मतदान के लिए डटे हुए हैं। मतदाता भी मतदान में अपनी रुचि दिखाते हुए बड़ी संख्या में घरों से निकलकर मतदान कर रहे हैं। दोपहर के 1:00 बजे तक तीनों भूतों का मिलाकर अवश्य मतदान 51% का रहा है।
