वर्षों के इंतज़ार के बाद आख़िरकार आज 11 मार्च 2024 को भारत में सीएए (CAA) यानि नागरिकता संशोधन अधिनियम (Citizenship Amendment Act) लागू हो गया. केंद्र सरकार (Central Government) की तरफ से इसके लिए अधिसूचना जारी की जा चुकी है. केंद्रीय गृह मंत्रालय (Ministry of Home Affairs) ने लोकसभा चुनाव 2024 (Lok Sabha Election) से कुछ दिन पहले आज नागरिकता संशोधन अधिनियम (सीएए) के कार्यान्वयन के लिए नियमों को अधिसूचित किया है। सीएए लागू होने के तुरंत बाद ही दिल्ली (Delhi) के शाहीन बाग (Shaheen Bagh) में सुरक्षा (Security) कड़ी कर दी गयी है. शाहीन बाग में इलाके में भारी पुलिस बलों (Police Force) की तैनाती की जा चुकी है. विपक्ष (Opposition) के नेता केंद्र सरकार के इस कदम को चुनावी एजेंडा बताते हुए अपना विरोध दर्ज़ कर रहे हैं.
