South Africa will be locking horns with Ireland in the second T20I at the County Ground, Bristol on Friday, August 5. A spirited Proteas would be hoping to seal the series by registering yet another win under their belt. They overcame the Andrew Balbirne-led side by 21 runs in a high-scoring encounter in the series opener.
The Proteas seem to be unstoppable in this format at the moment for the last couple of months that saw them level a bilateral T20I series against the top-ranked Indian team and then register an away 2-1 series victory over England in their own backyard recently. It can be rightly said that the South Africans are peaking at the right time and making a strong statement ahead of the T20 World Cup down under.
Ireland, on the other hand, have a lot of work to do in the format. They have suffered back-to-back defeats in T20Is in the last two months.
