India’s West Indies tour is set to start on July 22, it is learnt. The tour comprising three ODIs and five T20Is will be played in Trinidad and St Kitts before the teams fly to the United States for two T20Is to finish off the white-ball series.
It has been further reported that the 50-over fixtures will be conducted at Trinidad’s Queen Park Oval on July 22, 24 and 27 while the first T20I of the five-match series will be played at the Brian Charles Lara Stadium on July 29, followed by two back-to-back encounters at the Warner Park in St Kitts and Nevis on August 1 and 2. The final two games of the series – also scheduled back-to-back – will be held in Florida on August 6 and 7.
Days after delivering that disastrous 35-run over to Pat Cummins, Daniel Sams redeemed himself with a remarkable last over against the high-flying Gujarat Titans. The Australian dasher made his IPL debut for DC (then Delhi Daredevils) in 2009 and he wasn’t among a lot of runs that season. Former Indian and DC opener Virender Sehwag has revealed that Warner was struggling with discipline that season and gave a hard time to the team management.
