The increase in adoption of digitalization, cloud applications and the rise in remote workers exposes Indian organizations to greater security risks. End-user spending on security and risk management in India is forecast to total $2.65 billion in 2023, an increase of 8.3% from 2022, as per Gartner. Security Services to remain a Key Spending Priority for Indian CISOs in 2023.
Like 2022, security services will remain the segment that will achieve the highest levels of end-user spending in India in 2023. Security services spending is expected to represent 40% of overall end-user spending on security and risk management products and services in 2023.

In the public USB charging station, it is quite possible that someone intentionally loads malware on the USB port or the USB cable attached to steal sensitive data from mobile phones. Juice jacking does not yet appear to be a widespread threat, but it’s still a good idea to understand your risks and alternatives before giving your battery a boost at public charging stations like those at airports or hotels. For instance, when you plug your phone into your computer, a message on the computer may ask whether to trust the device. In the case of juice jacking, the device owner won't see what the USB port connects to. Another technique that criminals deploy is that while you charge your device, they download critical data through the port you may be using for charging the device. Ever Surf is a cross-platform messenger, a blockchain browser, and a crypto wallet for Everscale blockchain. It is written in React Native and is available in Google Play Market and Apple Store. There is also a web version of Ever Surf that runs on any platform. This type of application does not require communication with a centralized infrastructure, such as a web server, and it can interact with the blockchain directly or by using a browser extension like Metamask. In this case, the user is identified using keys that are stored only on a local machine inside a browser extension or a web wallet. If a decentralized application or a wallet stores sensitive data locally, it must ensure this data is reliably protected. In most cases, dAPPs run inside the browser and therefore may be vulnerable to attacks such as XSS. This research describes the vulnerability found in the web version of Ever Surf, a wallet for the Everscale blockchain (formerly Free TON). By exploiting the vulnerability, it’s possible to decrypt the private keys and seed phrases that are stored in the browser’s local storage. In other words, attackers could gain full control over the victim's wallets. The Checkpoint Research (CPR) disclosed the vulnerability to Ever Surf developers who then released a desktop version that mitigates this vulnerability.
The web version is now declared deprecated and should only be used for development purposes.
