A report says, SaaS adopters are indeed exposed to browser-borne attacks. SaaS applications are delivered over the internet, and users access them using a web browser. Since web browsers are frequently targeted by attackers, SaaS applications are also at risk of being compromised through the browser.

In #IDC’s view, cloud technologies are the core building blocks for the future of digital infrastructure that can meet the following challenges.
Infrastructure as a service (IaaS) will achieve a market value of US$80.7 billion and make up 48.8% of the Asia/Pacific* PCS market in 2026. IDC predicts more organizations will continue to accelerate IaaS adoption to reduce risks associated with capital expenditure to operate more efficiently and profitably.
Organizations are progressively pursuing consistent, security, performance, and compliance across all resources by deploying, operating, and scaling digital infrastructure in dedicated datacenters (DCs), private cloud, PCS, and edge locations.
Platform as a service (PaaS) will reach a market value of US$27.4 billion, contributing to 16.6% of the Asia/Pacific* PCS market in 2026. Growth is fueled by organizations that are gradually shifting application development in-house to have better control and those exploring ways to allocate development functions to non-IT staff using low-code/no-code platforms.
Software as a service (SaaS) will grow almost three times from US$20.8 billion in 2021 to US$57.1 billion in 2026, contributing to 34.6% of the entire Asia/Pacific* PCS market by then. SaaS growth is attributed to continual adoption of core enterprise applications, such as customer relationship management (CRM) and enterprise resource management (ERM).

As per a recent report, SaaS was the second-ranked segment in terms of the number of funding during H1 2022 with more than 90 Indian SaaS startups mopping up $1.76 billion. Indian SaaS startups have traditionally been more capital-efficient than their global counterparts, as per the report of Saas Bhoomi.
As hybrid work environments are the norm now, and B2B buyer preferences have moved to a digital-first approach irrevocably. A major driver of this growth has been the secular trend towards digitalization triggered by the pandemic. SaaS now comprises $600 billion of the $3 trillion global enterprise IT and communications spending market, and is expected to be worth $1.3 trillion by 2030.

Cybercrime costs include damage and destruction of data, stolen money, lost productivity, theft of intellectual property, theft of personal and financial data, embezzlement, fraud, post-attack disruption to the normal course of business, forensic investigation, restoration and deletion of hacked data and systems, and reputational harm. The average cost of a breach was $1.76 million less at organizations with a mature zero trust approach, compared to organizations without zero trust. The Indian Software as a Service (SaaS) landscape continues to mature rapidly, with more companies reaching larger scale and driving heightened investor interest. In 2021, more than 35 Indian SaaS companies had $20 Million+ annual recurring revenue - a sevenfold increase over five years -with between 7 and 9 of these companies reaching the $100M annual recurring revenue milestone (versus one to two companies five years ago). India could be on the cusp of unlocking a $1 trillion opportunity for Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) companies, creating nearly half a million new jobs by 2030, according to a report titled 'Shaping India’s SaaS Landscape' by #SaaSBOOMi. Vertical business software has seen 100% year-over-year growth, with several Indian success stories emerging. Growth is primarily driven by an increased number of deals for vertical business software and larger deal sizes for horizontal business software. A report says, software accounts for 20% of the total enterprise spending on technology but has a value creation of nearly 50%.
The #SaaS companies founded in India by the Indian founders, that have the majority of their workforce in India, are serving both domestic and global customers, which is $2.6 billion in size and employs about 40,000 people, is expected to record a 20X revenue jump by 2030. The narrative goes beyond this mammoth opportunity.
