Top tech companies show impressive growth
Top Wall Street analysts expect strong earnings results from the stocks of tech giants. Apple, Microsoft and Alphabet each reported impressively robust earnings results for the June quarter, demonstrating that these giant companies continue to go from strength to strength even as they face greater regulatory scrutiny. If there is any downside for the companies and their shareholders, it’s that the results will only concentrate critics’ minds about their sheer financial strength. A report shows Microsoft delivered its strongest revenue growth since 2008. Alphabet not only reported stunning revenue growth of 62%, it also kept expenses under control so well that its operating profit margin hit 31%, several percentage points above what Alphabet typically reports. Apple posted a 36% top line increase. Every part of its business expanded.
Apple aside, much of big tech’s surge is being driven by advertising. That was most obviously true at Alphabet—where its YouTube video ad revenue grew 84%—but even Microsoft benefited. The software giant posted 97% growth in its LinkedIn Marketing Solutions group and a stunning 53% jump in search advertising. That’s three times the March quarter growth in the search business. Alphabet’s operating profit margin nearly doubled to 31% from a year earlier, and up slightly from the first quarter. Since 2014, on an annual basis, the operating margin has ranged between 20% and 26%. The improvement was a result of Alphabet keeping a very tight lid on costs. But some of that might be related to a Covid-related slowdown in the costs of real estate expansion that may now be ending. At the same time, Azure, arguably now Microsoft’s most important business, in previous quarters has been reliably posting revenue growth of around 50%. Whereas, Microsoft’s free cash flow of $16.3 billion was about the same as Alphabet’s and just a little below App

देश में पिछले कुछ दिनों में आतंकी गतिविधियों से जुड़े खुलासों के बाद प्रमुख खुफिया सुरक्षा एजेंसियां सतर्क हो गई हैं। किसी भी संभावित खतरे से निपटने के लिए आतंकी संगठनों पर पैनी नजर रखी जा रही है।इनपुट्स के आधार पर देश की खुफिया सुरक्षा एजेंसियों ने आगामी स्वतंत्रता दिवस व अन्य महत्वपूर्ण दिनों को लेकर पंजाब पुलिस व अन्य एजेंसियों को सतर्क रहने के भी निर्देश दिए हैं। एजेंसियों का मानना है कि यह आतंकी संगठन ड्रोन हमले कर सकते है और उनके निशाने पर कुछ वीआईपी भी हैं। आतंकी अपने मंसूबों में कामयाब न हो, इसके लिए राजनीतिक रैलियों, समारोह व भीड़-भाड़ वाले स्थानों पर सुरक्षा प्रबंध कड़े रखने के निर्देश दिए गए हैं।

ലോകത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ എണ്ണ സംസ്കരണ കേന്ദ്രമായ സൗദി അറേബ്യയിലെ പ്രധാന എണ്ണപ്പാടത്തിൽ യെമൻ ഹൂതി വിമതർ അയച്ച ഡ്രോണുകൾ വൻ തീപിടുത്തമുണ്ടാക്കി. സൗദി അറേബ്യയുടെ സർക്കാർ ഉടമസ്ഥതയിലുള്ള അരാംകോയാണ് ഈ പ്ലാന്റുകൾ പ്രവർത്തിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്. കൂടാതെ രാജ്യത്തെ അസംസ്കൃത എണ്ണ ഉൽപാദനത്തിന്റെ 70 ശതമാനവും ഇവിടെ നിന്നാണ്. എന്നാൽ കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസത്തെ ഡ്രോൺ ആക്രമണം എന്തുകൊണ്ട് സൗദിക്കു നേരിടാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല എന്നാണ് പ്രതിരോധ വിദഗ്ധരും സോഷ്യൽമീഡിയയും ഒന്നടങ്കം ചർച്ച ചെയ്യുന്നത്. കോടികൾ മുടക്കി അമേരിക്കയിൽ നിന്നു വാങ്ങിയ വ്യോമ പ്രതിരോധ സംവിധാനങ്ങൾ ഹൂതികളുടെ ഡ്രോണുകളെ നേരിടുന്നതിൽ പരാജയപ്പെട്ടോ ?
അമേരിക്കയിൽ നിന്ന് ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതൽ ആയുധങ്ങൾ വാങ്ങുന്ന രാജ്യങ്ങളിലൊന്നാണ് സൗദി അറേബ്യ. യുഎസ് പിന്തുണയുള്ളതും സൗദിയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലുള്ളതുമായ സഖ്യത്തിനെതിരെയാണ് ഹൂതികൾ യുദ്ധം പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. ഹൂതികൾക്ക് പിന്നിൽ ഇറാന്റെ സഹായമുണ്ടെന്നാണ് അമേരിക്ക ആരോപിക്കുന്നത്. അമേരിക്കയുടെ വ്യോമ പ്രതിരോധ സംവിധാനങ്ങളെ പോലും മറികടന്നാണ് ഹൂതികളുടെ ഡ്രോൺ സൗദി നഗരങ്ങളിൽ തുടര്ച്ചയായി ആക്രമണം നടത്തുന്നത്.
ബാലിസ്റ്റിക്, ക്രൂസ് മിസൈലുകളെ നേരിടുന്നതിൽ സൗദി വാങ്ങിയ യുഎസ് പ്രതിരോധ സംവിധാനങ്ങൾ വിജയമാണെങ്കിലും ഡ്രോണുകളെ നേരിടുന്നതിൽ നിരവധി തവണയാണ് പരാജയപ്പെട്ടത്. മാസങ്ങൾക്ക് മുൻപ് സൗദി വിമാനത്താവളത്തിനു നേരെയുണ്ടായ ആക്രമണത്തിലും ഹൂതികളുടെ ഡ്രോണിനെ നേരിടാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല.
ഹൂതികൾക്ക് കാര്യമായ സാമ്പത്തിക സ്രോതസ്സുകൾ ഇല്ലെങ്കിലും ലോകത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതൽ സൈനിക ഉപകരണങ്ങൾക്ക് പണം ചെലവഴിക്കുന്ന മൂന്നാമത്തെ രാജ്യമായി സൗദി അറേബ്യയെ ആക്രമിക്കാൻ ഹൂതി ഡ്രോണുകൾക്ക് കഴിഞ്ഞെങ്കിൽ വ്യോമ പ്രതിരോധം ശക്തമാക്കേണ്ടതുണ്ട് എന്നാണ് പ്രതിരോധ വിദഗ്ധർ മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് നൽകുന്നത്. പ്രതിരോധത്തിന് 295 ബില്യൺ ഡോളർ ചെലവിടുന്ന സൗദിയെ സംബന്ധിച്ചിടത്തോളം വ്യോമ പ്രതിരോധം ശക്തമാക്കേണ്ടത് നിലവിലെ സാഹചര്യത്തിൽ അത്യാവശ്യമാണ്.
യെമനിൽ നിന്ന് 500 മൈൽ അകലെ നിന്നാണ് ഹൂതികളുടെ ഡ്രോൺ സൗദിയിലേക്ക് പറന്നെത്തി ആക്രമണം നടത്തിയത്. ഇത്രയും സമയം ഡ്രോൺ പറന്നിട്ടും അമേരിക്കൻ നിർമിത റഡാറുകളോ സാറ്റലൈറ്റ് ഡേറ്റകളോ മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് നൽകിയില്ല എന്നത് അദ്ഭുതപ്പെടുത്തുന്ന കാര്യമാണ്. ശനിയാഴ്ചത്തെ ആക്രമണത്തിന് ഹൂതികൾ ഉപയോഗിച്ച ഡ്രോണുകൾ നി

जम्मू स्थित भारतीय वायुसेना के एयरबेस पर हुए ड्रोन हमले के बाद से अलर्ट जारी है। शनिवार की रात एयरबेस पर ड्रोन से दो ब्लास्ट किए जाने के बाद रविवार की रात जम्मू के ही कालूचक मिलिट्री बेस पर ड्रोन नजर आया था। मीडिया रिपोर्ट्स में सूत्रों के हवाले से बताया गया है कि केंद्रीय गृह मंत्रालय ने नैशनल सिक्यॉरिटी गार्ड को जम्मू एयरपोर्ट पर अपना ऐंटी-ड्रोन सर्विलांस सिस्टम लगाने का निर्देश दिया है। इसके अलावा गृह मंत्रालय द्वारा इस हमले की जांच एनआईए को सौंप दी गई है। इस मामले में जांच अधिकारी पाकिस्तान स्थित आतंकी संगठन लश्कर-ए-तैयबा को प्रमुख संदिग्ध के रूप में देख रहे हैं।
