While some praised the film for its bold concept, some shamed it for that. In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble host Akash Bhatnagar, Bhumi spoke about the latter group of people and slammed them for the shaming. She expressed her disappointment towards people who didn’t criticise the film but its intent. The actress discussed the prevalent gender bias and how people never took offence when she was a part of such stories told from a male perspective. She pointed out how Pankaj Tripathi and Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2 was supported by the same people who shamed her film, when somewhere they dealt with the same subject. Bhumi revealed if not getting any support from women within the industry disappointed her. India's first indigenously designed and developed Dhanush artillery gun got inducted in the Indian Army during a ceremony held at Ordnance Factory in Jabalpur on Monday. Dhanush, a 155mm/45 calibre towed gun system is deployable in all types of terrains. It is also the third artillery gun to be inducted into the force after the K-9 Vajra, and the M-777 ultra-light howitzers were recruited in November last year. Part of Army's ‘mediumisation’ of the artillery, the guns will be deployed along the borders with Pakistan and China.

समाजवादी पार्टी सुप्रीमो मुलायम सिंह यादव ने बोफोर्स तोप मामले को लेकर नया बयान दिया है. उन्होंने कहा कि यूनाइटेड फ्रंट की सरकार में जब वह रक्षा मंत्री थे तो जानबूझकर बोफोर्स की फाइल गायब करा दी थी और इसको आगे बढ़ाने में देरी की थी. लखनऊ में राम मनोहर लोहिया लॉ यूनिवर्सिटी के कार्यक्रम में उन्होंने कहा, 'जब मैं खुद सीमावर्ती इलाके में गया और मैंने देखा कि बोफोर्स बेहतरीन काम कर रही हैं. मेरे मन में पहला विचार आया कि राजीव जी ने बढ़िया काम किया है. यही कारण है कि मैंने फाइल गायब कर दी.' सपा मुखिया ने आगे कहा, 'तब मैंने फैसला किया कि बोफोर्स फाइल के मामले में जल्दबाजी नहीं करनी चाहिए और पहले यह पता लगाना चाहिए कोई मुकदमेबाजी में तो नहीं उलझ रहा है.' यादव ने कहा कि लोग यह कहते हैं कि बोफोर्स राजीव गांधी की गलती थी. मुलायम ने कहा, 'सब लोग नहीं समझ सकते कि कोई राजनेता किन परिस्थितियों में काम करता है. लोग मंत्रियों को प्रतिकूल परिस्थितियों में याद करते हैं और इस पर उन्हें प्रतिक्रिया भी मिलती है, लेकिन कभी किसी आईएएस ऑफिसर से कुछ पूछकर देखिए तब पता चलेगा.' आपको बता दें कि राजीव गांधी सरकार ने मार्च 1986 में स्वीडन की एबी बोफोर्स से 400 हॉविट्जर तोपें खरीदने का करार किया था। तोपों की खरीद में 1437 करोड़ रुपए की दलाली का खुलासा अप्रैल 1987 में स्वीडन रेडियो ने किया था।

सुप्रीम कोर्ट द्वारा आज यानि शुक्रवार को 64 करोड़ रूपये के बोफोर्स तोप रिश्वतकांड मामले में सीबीआई की याचिका को खारिज कर दिया है। प्रधान न्यायाधीश रंजन गोगोई की अध्यक्षता वाली पीठ ने अपील दायर करने में 13 साल का विलंब माफ करने का जांच ब्यूरो का अनुरोध अस्वीकार कर दिया। दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट ने 2005 में अपने फैसले में हिन्दुजा बंधुओं-एस पी हिन्दुजा, जी पी हिन्दुजा और पी पी हिन्दुजा तथा अन्य के खिलाफ भ्रष्टाचार निवारण कानून के तहत सारे आरोप निरस्त कर दिए थे। पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री राजीव गांधी के कार्यकाल में हुआ 64 करोड़ रुपये का यह तोप सौदा दलाली कांड राजनीतिक दृष्टि से काफी संवेदनशील है। ऐसे में सुप्रीम कोर्ट में सीबीआई की अपील खारिज होना कांग्रेस के लिए राहत की बात है।
