डीसी ने कहा कि हम जंग जैसे हालात से गुजर रहे हैं और ऐसे में कुछ लोगों की ब्लैकमेलिंग की कोशिश को बर्दाश्त नहीं किया जा सकता। यह हालात हड़ताल करने वाले नहीं हैं और आढ़तियों को हमें सहयोग करना चाहिए। डीसी वरिंदर शर्मा ने कहा कि अगर आढ़तियों ने हड़ताल की और आपात स्थिति पैदा हुई तो मकसूदां सब्जी मंडी, लांबड़ा मंडी, बल्टर्न पार्क, जमशेर मंडी, हवेली के सामने खाली पड़ी जगह और पीएपी ग्राउंड मैं किसान जहां से भी सब्जियां लेकर आएंगे उन्हें इन जगहों पर लाकर सीधे किसान मंडी लगा दी जाएगी।
उन्होंने चेतावनी दी कि कोरोना वायरस की महामारी के चलते जिले में नेशनल डिजास्टर मैनेजमेंट एक्ट और एपिडेमिक एक्ट लगा हुआ है। अगर कोई हालात बिगाड़ता है तो उसके खिलाफ सख्त कार्रवाई की जाएगी। उन्होंने फिर अपील की कि आढ़ती अपनी हड़ताल वापस ले ताकि कोरोना वायरस के चलते लगे कर्फ्यू में लोगों को घर-घर जरूरी वस्तु सब्जी आदि की सप्लाई निर्विघ्न रूप से चलाई जा सके। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि जिन कुछ आढ़तियों के लाइसेंस सस्पेंड किए गए हैं उन्हें भी कई बार हिदायत दी गई थी लेकिन उन्होंने प्रशासन की बात नहीं मानी। अभी उनके लाइसेंस कैंसिल नहीं किए गए हैं लेकिन प्रशासन लोगों की जरूरत व परेशानी को देखते हुए सख्त कदम लेने से पीछे नहीं हटेगा।
प्रशासन की सख्ती के विरोध में बुधवार को मंडी बंद करने की घोषणा कर चुके आढ़तियों पर जिला मंडी बोर्ड भी सख्ती के मूड में है। विभाग ने कोरोना वायरस संकट की घड़ी में हड़ताल पर जाने वाले आढ़तियो के लाइसेंस रद करने के संकेत दिए हैं। जिला मंडी अधिकारी दविंदर वीर ने कहा कि विपरीत परिस्थितियों में सभी को मिलजुल कर एक-दूसरे की मदद करनी चाहिए। जबकि ऐसी परिस्थितियों में मंडी बंद करने या हड़ताल करने की घोषणा बेमानी है। जो कारोबारी इन परिस्थितियों में मंडी का मा
