    Bhumi Pednekar on reaction to Thank You For Coming, OMG 2, lack of gender equality, viewer hypocrisy

    Bhumi Pednekar recently appeared in the comedy Thank You For Coming and the film invited some extreme reactions from the viewers. While some praised the film for its bold concept, some shamed it for that. In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble host Akash Bhatnagar, Bhumi spoke about the latter group of people and slammed them for the shaming. She expressed her disappointment towards people who didn’t criticise the film but its intent. The actress discussed the prevalent gender bias and how people never took offence when she was a part of such stories told from a male perspective. She pointed out how Pankaj Tripathi and Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2 was supported by the same people who shamed her film, when somewhere they dealt with the same subject. Bhumi revealed if not getting any support from women within the industry disappointed her. She highlighted the hypocrisy of the situation that people accept objectification of women but have a problem with them talking about their sexuality. You can watch the entire conversation here.

    जल शक्ति विभाग में बतौर जल रक्षक सेवाएं दे रहे कर्मचारियों ने विभाग के तहत नियमित कर्मचारी के रूप में अपने आप को स्थापित करवाने की मांग को लेकर आंदोलन करने की चेतावनी दे दी है। कर्मियों ने मांगों को लेकर आवाज बुलंद कर दी है। करीब 4500 प्रतिमाह वेतन पर 10 सालों से सेवाएं दे रहे जल रक्षकों ने नियमितीकरण की मांग की है और वहीं उन्होंने उन्हें पूरी तरह जल शक्ति विभाग के कर्मचारी घोषित करने को लेकर भी आवाज उठाई है।

    ऊना जिला मुख्यालय के नजदीक की ग्राम पंचायत लोअर कोटला कलां के ग्रामीणों ने जल शक्ति विभाग के खिलाफ जमकर नारेबाजी करते हुए रोष प्रदर्शन किया। ग्रामीणों का आरोप है कि साथ लगते गांव लोअर अरनियाला से आने वाले गंदे नाले का बहाव शहर की फ्रेंड्स कॉलोनी से हटाकर कोटला कलां की तरफ मोड़ दिया गया है। एक तरफ अपने ही गांव के ऊपरी क्षेत्र के बरसाती पानी का बहाव यहां संभल नहीं पा रहा वहीं दूसरी ओर साथ लगते गांव के गंदे पानी को भी जहाँ पर मोड़ कर स्थानीय लोगों की समस्याओं को बढ़ा दिया गया है। अब हालत यह है कि बरसात के पानी के साथ साथ गंदे नाले का पानी भी लोगों के घरों और खेतों में जाकर घुस रहा है।

    Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) : The State Cabinet in its meeting held here today under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur gave its approval to appoint 2322 workers in Jal Shakti Vibhag which include 718 Para Pump Operators, 162 Para Fitters and 1442 Multipurpose Workers under the Departmental Para Workers Policy to manage 486 drinking water and 31 irrigation schemes of the Department.The Cabinet decided to open new Division of Public Works Department at Jhandutta in Bilaspur district alongwith shifting three Sub Divisions of Public Works Department at Barathin, Jhandutta and Kalol of Ghumarwin Division under its control besides creating requisite posts for its smooth functioning.In order to ensure smooth operationalization of National Ambulance Services-108 in the State, it decided to make payment over and above the provisions of concession agreements as a special interim measure and stop gap arrangement to employees of GVK-EMRI by enhancing the take home salary of its employees.The Cabinet approved amendment in Section 3 of Himachal Pradesh War Awards Act, 1972 for enhancing the grant of War Jagirs from Rs. 5000 to Rs. 7000 annually for all the eligible persons.
