देवों में प्रथम पूज्य भगवान श्रीगणेश की पूरे दस दिनों तक पूरे विधी विधान से पूजा पाठ करने के बाद उनकी प्रतिमाओं का विसर्जन करने का दौर शुरु हो गया। हवन पूजन के बाद गाजे बाजे के साथ ही गणपति महाराज को विदाई दी जा रही है। नगर निगम के वार्ड नंबर 20 काशीनगर में विराजे भगवान गणेश का पूरे विधी विधान से विसर्जन किया गया। इस दौरान शहर में रैली निकाली गई। गाजे बाजे के साथ ही नर्तक दलों के साथ बड़ी संख्या में लोग झूमते गाते हुए जल स्त्रोत पहुंचे और विघ्न विनाषक का विसर्जन कर दिया।

कोसाबाड़ी चौक के पास एक कार हुई हादसे का शिकार।
कोरबा में कोसाबाड़ी चौक के पास एक कार हादसे का शिकार हो गई। कोसाबाड़ी से रिस्दी जाने के दौरान कार वन विभाग द्वारा संचालित औषधि केंद्र के बाउंड्रीवॉल को तोड़ते हुए बुरी तरह से क्षतिग्रस्त हो गई। हादसे के दौरान मौके पर मौजूद दो लोग गंभीर रुप से घायल हो गए,जिन्हें ईलाज के लिए निजी अस्पताल में भर्ती किया गया है। हादसे के दौरान कार का एरबैग खुलने से चालक की जान बच गई। सूचना मिलने के बाद सीविल लाईन थाना की पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची और कार को जप्त कर लिया। मामले में पुलिस द्वारा आगे की कार्रवाई की जा रही है।

डेंगू हुआ खतरनाक,फिर मिले 21 नए मरीज,बीमारी की रोकथाम के लिए किए जा रहे प्रयास
कोरबा जिले में डेंगू की बीमारी जानलेवा सबित होने लगी है। तमाम कोशिशों के बाद भी जिले में इससे पीड़ित मरीजों की संख्या में बढ़ोत्तरी होती जा रही है। हाल में ही डेंगू के 21 नए मरीज सामने आए है,जिससे स्वास्थ्य अमला काफी चिंतित है। हालांकि विभाग लोगों को सतर्क करने में लगा हुआ है वहीं निगम की टीम भी मच्छरों के प्रकोप को कम करने की कोशिशों में जुटी हुई है।
वीओ: कोरबा जिले में डेंगू का प्रकोप कम होने का नाम नहीं ले रहा। तमाम प्रयासों के बाद भी डेंगू के मरीज कम होने का नाम नहीं ले रहे। मच्छरों के कारण होने वाली इस बीमारी की रोकथाम के लिए स्वास्थ्य हमले के साथ ही नगर निगम की टीम लगी हुई है,लेकिन उसके सार्थक परिणाम सामने नहीं आ पा रहे है। कोरबा शहर में हाल ही में 21 नए मरीजों की पुष्टि हुई है,जिससे विभाग में हड़कंप मच गया है। जिले में अब तक डेंगू पीड़ित मरीजों की संख्या में बढ़कर 139 हो गई है। इस जानलेवा बीमारी से लोगों को बचाने के लिए स्वास्थ्य अमला लगा हुआ है,लोगों को जागरुक करने के साथ ही नगर निगम के सहयोग से कीटनाशक का छिड़काव किया जा रहा है ताकी मच्छरों को मारा जा सके। इसके साथ ही लोगों से अपील की जा रही है,कि अपने आस पास पानी का ठहराव ना होने दे,जिससे मच्छर अंडा ना दे पाए।

कैट लवर परिवार में है 20 से अधिक बिल्लियों का कुनबा।
बिल्ली के रोने की डरावनी आवाज और काली बिल्ली के रास्ता काटने को लोग अपशकुन मानते है। अनहोनी की आशंका में कई तरह के जतन करने लगते है। इन मान्यताओं से दूर कोरबा में रहने वाला एक परिवार कैट लवर है। उनके घर में एक नही, दो नही बल्कि 20 से अधिक बिल्लियों का कुनबा बड़े इत्मीनान से रहता है।
वीओ: आईटीआई रामपुर में रहने वाली विमला मोजेश के दो बेटे, एक बेटी और एक पोती है। इनके अलावा इस परिवार में 20 से अधिक सदस्य और रहते है, जो बेहद खास है। ये बिल्लियां विमला की लाडली हैं। सुबह के नाश्ते से लेकर, लांच और रात का खाना इन बिल्लियों के साथ होता है। बिल्लीयो के बीमार होने पर विमला पशु चिकित्सकों के ओब्जर्वेशन में इनका इलाज भी करती है।

वीओ: दरअसल तीन साल पहले विमला को घर के बाहर जख्मी हालत ने एक बिल्ली का बच्चा मिला। उसे घर ले आई। इलाज के बाद वो पूरी तरह ठीक हो गई और इस परिवार की सदस्य भी बन गई। उसका नाम था बेबो। इसके बाद लगातार बिल्लियों की संख्या बढ़ती गई। आज इस घर में 20 से अधिक बिल्लियां उछलते फांदते नजर आते है। इन बिल्लियों का नाम भी है। काली, टुकटुक, पुसी, मैगी, लिली अपना नाम सुनते ही भागी चली आती हैं।

वीओ: सिर्फ बिल्ली ही नही बल्कि गिलहरी, लव बर्ड और डॉग भी मोजेस फैमिली के मेंबर रह चुके है। विमला कहती हैं कि लोग बिल्लियों को लेकर तरह-तरह के अपशकुन मानते हैं, लेकिन ये बिल्लियां मेरे लिए काफी लकी हैं। इनकी देखभाल दूसरे पालतू जानवरों की तरह ज्यादा नहीं करनी होती। डॉग पालने में जो खर्च होता है। बिल्ली पालने में उससे कम खर्च होता है। ये बिल्लियां अपनी मां की तरह विमला की बात सुनती और मानती है। इस शौंक के लिए विमला और आशी इलाके में मशहूर हैं।
