दिल्ली के बख्पुतापुर गांव में गरभवती महिलाओ की सहायता के लिए एक भी आशा वर्कर नहीं है। आशा वर्कर के न होने से गरभवती महिलाओ को अकेले ही अस्पताल जाना पढता है। किसी की भी अचानक तबियत बिगड़ जाए तो स्थिति सँभालने के लिए कोई ऐशा वर्कर उपलब्ध नहीं होती। देश की राजधानी दिल्ली के हेल्थ सिस्टम पर भी बडे सवाल खड़े होते है। गर्ब्वती महिलाओं के हेल्थ को लेकर न नगर निगम गम्भीर है न ही दिल्ली सरकार। NRHM और केंद्र से भारी भरकम रकम आने के वावजूद भी धरातल पर हो रहे कामो को देखकर आप चौक जायेंगे। दिल्ली के कई गाँवों में गर्भवती महिलाओं की देखरेख और नियमित जांच के लिए आशा वर्कर ही नही है। गर्भवती महिलाये समय पर जांच नही करवा पाती। इन गर्भवती महिलाओ के लिए करोड़ो का बजट आता है पर महिलाओ तक ये बजट पहुंच ही पा रहा। गर्भवती महिलाओं को टीकाकरण की की जानकारी देना , उनको अस्पताल और डिस्पेंसरी तक पहुचाना , आहार और हेल्थ की जानकारी प्रदान करवाना, ये सब काम आशा वर्कर करती है। डिलीवरी के दौरान ये आशा वर्कर अस्पताल तक महिला को पहुचाने में भी मदद करती है। पर बख्तावरपुर गाँव में एक भी आशा वर्कर का न होना दिल्ली सर्कार की बड़ी लापरवाही का नतीजा है। जो नव वधु आई है साथ ही या जो महिलाये किराए पर रह रही है उन्हें अस्पताल आदि की जानकारी नही है , इन सब चीज़ों का ध्यान रखने का काम भी आशा वर्कर का ही होता है। गर्भवती महिलाओ को एक से डेढ़ किलोमीटर पैदल जाना पड़ता है, बीच रास्ते कोई चक्कर आ जाए या कोई तकलीफ हो जाए उस दौरान मदद के लिए आशा वर्कर्स का साथ होना जरुरी है. हेल्प के लिए आशा वर्कर न होने से बहुत बड़ी खामी सामने आ रही है।
