Kings XI Punjab made a huge score of 193 for three wickets against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Thursday in the 11th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the IS Bindra Stadium here, thanks to Chris Gayle's magnificent century (104 not out).
Scorecard
Gayle played an unbeaten 104 off 63 balls in an explosive manner. They just hit a four but six sixes Gayle, playing his second match in the league, is the first batsman to score a hundred in the 11th edition.
This is the sixth century of Gayle in the history of the IPL. Gayle made four consecutive fours in the 14th match of the match and Rashid Khan in the third over.
Apart from Gayle, there was no other batsman from Punjab. Karun Nair scored 31 runs. Lokesh Rahul and Mayank Agarwal scored 18-18 and Aaron Finch scored 14 not out. Rashid, Sidharth Kaul and Bhuvneshwar Kumar took one wicket each for Hyderabad.
