During the heavy rains in August 2023, a cloud burst incident caused massive devastation in Khonalal village, the horrifying scene of which is still visible in the village. Many families of this remote village became homeless and lost everything. Nothing was left except the clothes covering the body.

Khonalal village, a remote area under Seraj assembly constituency of Mandi district, was connected with road facility for the first time after independence in the year 2018. The unpaved road was also made concrete and a successful trial of the bus was also conducted on this road in the year 2021. But the HRTC bus that came to this village on the day of the trial never returned.
