While some praised the film for its bold concept, some shamed it for that. In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble host Akash Bhatnagar, Bhumi spoke about the latter group of people and slammed them for the shaming. She expressed her disappointment towards people who didn’t criticise the film but its intent. The actress discussed the prevalent gender bias and how people never took offence when she was a part of such stories told from a male perspective. She pointed out how Pankaj Tripathi and Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2 was supported by the same people who shamed her film, when somewhere they dealt with the same subject. Bhumi revealed if not getting any support from women within the industry disappointed her. In a case of rape, a court in Jodhpur will pronounce judgment on Asaram on Wednesday. Prior to this security arrangements have been made. The Home Ministry has asked Rajasthan, Gujarat and Haryana to tighten security and deploy additional forces. Asaram is accused of raping a minor girl of Shahjahanpur. This case came to light when on August 20, 2013 an FIR was lodged at Kamla Nagar police station in Delhi at 2 pm.
The victim has alleged that Asaram had called her at Mani Ashram near Jodhpur and raped her on August 15, 2013. The girl was studying in Ashram's ashram in Chhindwara of Madhya Pradesh. A case was registered against Asaram under the Poxo Act and the case was transferred to the Rajasthan Police. Asaram was booked under section 342 (wrongful confinement) of IPC, 376 (rape), 506 (criminal manslaughter) against Asaram. For some days, Asaram saved his life, but finally he was arrested from Indore on the night of 31 August. After this he was brought to Jodhpur by the aircraft.
