એક તરફ જ્યાં ખેડૂતો સિંચાઈ માટે તંત્ર પાસેથી પાણીની માગ કરી રહ્યા છે ત્યારે બીજી તરફ નર્મદાની મુખ્ય કેનાલમાંથી માઇનોર કેનલોમાં પાણી તો છોડાયું પણ તે પાણી ખેતરો સુધી ન પહોંચીને પાણીનો વેડફાટ થવાની ઘટના સામે આવી છે. છોટા ઉદેપુરના ખેડૂતોની માગણીને લઈને તંત્રએ પાણી છોડ્યું પણ તે પાણી ખેતરો સુધી નથી પહોંચ્યું. કારણ કે, કેનાલમાં ગાબડા અને તિરાડ પડી ગયા હોવાથી પાણી ખેતરમાં પહોંચી નથી શકતું. બીજી બાજુ પાણીની અછતને લઈને ખેડૂતોના ઊભા પાકને નુકસાન થઈ રહ્યું છે.
રાજ્ય સરકાર દ્વારા ખેડૂતોને સિંચાઈનો લાભ મળે તે હેતુથી બે દિવસથી નર્મદાની માઈનોર કેનાલ દ્વારા પાણી તો છોડવામાં આવી રહ્યું છે પણ કેનલોમાં પડેલા ગાબડાંને લઈ તેનો વેડફાટ થઈ રહ્યો છે. ખેતરો સુધી તો પાણી નથી પહોંચી રહ્યું પણ કોતરોમાં મોટા પ્રમાણમાં પાણી વહી રહ્યું છે. આજે કોતરો તળાવોની માફક દેખાઈ રહ્યાં છે. કોતરોમાં જે પાણી ભરાયું છે જે ખેડૂતોના કોઈ કામનું નથી.
છોટા ઉદેપુર જિલ્લાના ખેડૂતોનો પાક તૈયાર થઈ ગયો છે. પાણીની હાલ જરૂરિયાત છે. પાણીની માગને લઈને પાણી છોડવામાં આવ્યું છે, પણ ખેડૂતોના ખેતર સુધી પાણી ન પહોંચતા આજે તેમનો ઊભો પાક સૂકાઈ રહ્યો છે. ખેડૂતોને એક ચિંતા સતાવી રહી છે કે ક્યારે આ ઢાળિયા કેનલોમાં રિપેર થશે અને ક્યારે તેમને પાણી મળશે. જો સમયસર ખેડૂતોને પાણી નહિ મળે તો ચોક્કસ ખેડૂતોને માથે હાથ દઈને રોવાનો વારો આવશે.

સમગ્ર દેશમાં સ્વચ્છતા મિશન ચાલી રહ્યું છે તો બીજી બાજુ છોટા ઉદેપુર જિલ્લાની શાન ગણાતા કુસુમ સાગર તળાવ ગંદકીથી ખદબદી રહ્યું છે. એક તરફ તળાવમાં ઉગેલી બિનજરૂરી વનસ્પતિને હટાવવાની જે કામગીરી કરાઈ રહી છે અને તે જે રીતે સફાઈ કામગીરી શરૂ કરવામાં આવી છે, તેના પર ઘણાં સવાલ ઊઠી રહ્યા છે કે આ તે કેવી સફાઈ કામગીરી?
રજવાડી કુસુમ તળાવની હાલત બદથી બદતર થઈ જવા પામી છે. તળાવમાં બિન જરૂરી વનસ્પતિ ઊગી નીકળી છે. ચારેબાજુ ગંદકી જોવા મળી રહી છે અને ગંદકીને લઈ દુર્ગંધ પણ ફેલાઈ રહી છે. તો સાથે સાથે મચ્છરોના પુષ્કળ પ્રમાણમાં ઉપદ્રવથી લોકો ત્રાહિમામ પોકારી ઉઠ્યા છે. લોકોની વારંવાર ફરિયાદને લઈ કામગીરી તો શરૂ કરવામાં આવી, પણ જે રીતે તળાવની વનસ્પતિને હટાવવાની કામગીરી ચાલી રહી છે તે જોતા ઘણો સમય નીકળી જશે. નારાજગી વ્યક્ત કરી રહ્યા છે. જ્યારે સરકાર તો ગ્રાન્ટ આપે છે પણ સત્તાધીશોની બેદરકારીને લઈ લોકોને તકલીફ વેઠવાનો વારો આવ્યો છે.

છોટા ઉદેપુર તાલુકા પંચાયતમાં કામ કરતાં જુનિયર કારકૂન પી.ડી.સુથારીયાનો દારૂના નશામાં ધૂત બનીને સાથી કર્મચારીઓની હાજરીમાં ગમે તેવું વર્તન કરીને ગાળાગાળી કર્યાનો વીડિયો વાયરલ થયો હતો. આ વીડિયોમાં આ પી.ડી.સુથારીયા પોતાને એક્સ.આર્મીમેન હોવાનું જણાવી રહ્યો છે. સાથે સાથે તાલુકા પંચાયતમાં કામ અર્થે આવતા લોકો સાથે ગમે તેવું વર્તન કરીને ગાળાગાળી કરી રહ્યો છે અને છૂટાહાથની મારામારી પણ કરી રહ્યો છે.
આ અંગે જ્યારે છોટા ઉદેપુર તાલુકા પંચાયતના કર્મચારીઓ સાથે વાત કરતાં તેઓએ આ કર્મચારી પી.ડી.સુથારીયા પોતાની અંગત વાતોને અને પારિવારિક સમસ્યાને લઈને ઘણીવાર નશાની હાલતમાં આવે છે અને મહિલા કર્મચારીઓની હાજરીમાં ગમે તેમ ગાળો બોલે છે અને અશોભનીય વર્તન કરે છે. વારંવાર આવા વર્તનના કારણે કર્મચારીઓ પણ ત્રાસી ગયા છે અને આ કર્મચારીઓ પણ આ કર્મચારીથી છૂટકારો ઇચ્છી રહ્યા છે.
