सीएम योगी ने बैसाखी के मौके पर लखनऊ के यहियागंज गुरुद्वारा में माथा टेका। सिखों के बिना देश का इतिहास अधूरा माना जाता है। गुरु गोविन्द सिंह ने शस्त्र और शास्त्र में पारंगत होकर कैसे अपने धर्म की रक्षा करनी है इसकी प्रेरणा दी। पांच साल पहले यहियागंज गुरुद्वारे में ही पहली बार टेका मैने माथा था। उन्होंने इस मौके पर कहा कि बैसाखी का पर्व एक नया उल्लास, एक नया उत्साह, नई फसल के आने और नए वर्ष के आगमन के फलस्वरूप मनाया जाता है। हम अनादिकाल से इस आयोजन के साथ जुड़ते रहे हैं लेकिन भारत के अंदर धर्म की रक्षा के लिए आज के दिन का एतिहासिक महत्व है। गुरु गोविन्द सिंह महाराज ने आज के दिन खालसा पंथ की स्थापना की थी। उसी का परिणाम है कि बैसाखी पर्व को पूरे देश के अंदर मनाया जाता है। कार्यक्रम में सीएम योगी आदित्यनाथ समेत भाजपा प्रदेश अध्यक्ष स्वतंत्र देव सिंह, डिप्टी सीएम ब्रजेश पाठक इत्यादि पार्टी के नेता मौजूद रहे।सीएम योगी ने कहा कि हम सब जानते हैं कि सिखों के बिना देश का इतिहास अधूरा माना जाता है। सिख गुरुओं ने त्याग ओर बलिदान की जो एक लम्बी श्रंखला खड़ी की है आज उसी का परिणाम है कि देश सुरक्षित है। उन्होंने कहा कि यह आयोजन अपने पूवर्जों के प्रति श्रद्धा को प्रकट करता है और आने वाली पीढियों को इन महापुरुषों के प्रति नमन करने का अवसर उपलब्ध कराता है। जब खालासा पंथ की स्थापना करने वाले गुरु गोविंद सिंह जी ने अपने जीवन का कुछ समय इस एतिहासिक गुरुद्वारे में बिताया था। यहां से धर्म की रक्षा के लिए क्या करना है इसका ज्ञान दिया था। शस्त्र और शास्त्र में पारंगत होकर कैसे अपने धर्म की रक्षा करनी है इसकी प्रेरणा प्रदान की थी।

पाकिस्तान ने यात्रा पर गए सिक्ख श्रद्धालुओं के जत्थे से भारतीय अफसरों को मिलने की आज्ञा न देकर एक बार फिर बदसलूकी का नमूना पेश किया है..... पाक की इस कार्यवाही पर भारत ने सख़्त ऐतराज़ जताया है.....विदेश मामलों के मंत्रालय के मुताबिक 1800 सिक्ख श्रद्धालुओं का जत्था 12 अप्रैल को पाकिस्तान के गुरूधामों के दर्शनों के लिए गया था .... 14 अप्रैल को पाकिस्तान में भारतीय हाई कमिशनर ने इन श्रद्धालुओं से मिलना था परन्तु उन को ऐसा करने से रोक दिया ग्या..... भारतीय हाई कमिशनर गुरुद्वारा पंजा साहिब में सिक्ख श्रद्धालुओं को बधाई देना चाहते थे ......पर उन को वहाँ जाने की आज्ञा नहीं दी गई और आधे रास्ते में से ही वापिस मोड़ दिया ग्या....... इस से पहले भारतीय अधिकारियों को 12 अप्रैल को वाहगा रेलवे स्टेशन पर भी श्रद्धालुओं के साथ मिलने की मंज़ूरी नहीं दी गई थी ....भारती विदेश मंत्रालय ने इस को पाकिस्तान की कूटनीतिक बदसलूकी की मिसाल बताया है......
