Airlines in profit | Record Breaking Profits for Airlines: Here's How They Did It |
Given the current markets, rising rates and stubborn inflation, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) has forecast that global airlines will make $9.8 billion in net profit in 2023, up from a December forecast of $4.7 billion. This is despite the fact that the global economy is expected to slow down this year.

Despite economic uncertainties, people are flying to reconnect, explore, and do business. Airports are busier, hotel occupancy is rising, local economies are reviving, and the airline industry has moved into profitability.

Stronger profitability was supported by cargo revenues, China’s reopening and lower jet fuel prices, IATA’s director general Willie Walsh said in a statement. There are a number of factors that are contributing to the expected increase in airline profits. First, the global air travel market is expected to grow by 5.5% in 2023, which would be the fastest pace of growth since 2019.

L&T Q4 profit rises 8% YoY to Rs 3,418 cr
Engineering and construction major Larsen & Toubro on Friday reported a 7.91 per cent year-on-year rise in profit (attributable to owners) at Rs 3,418.24 crore for the quarter ended March 31. Analysts in an ET NOW poll had projected a profit of Rs 3,414 crore. The company had posted a net of Rs 3,167.47 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Consolidated revenue from operations increased 10.46 per cent YoY to Rs 44,933.96 crore from Rs 40,678.10 crore

SBI Q4 profit at Rs 838 cr way below Street estimates
Public lender State Bank of India on Friday posted a profit of Rs 838.40 crore for March quarter against a loss of Rs 7,718.17 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Analysts in an ET NOW poll had projected a profit of Rs 4,890 crore. Asset quality of the lender improved with percentage of gross non-performing assets (NPAs) easing to 7.73 per cent from 8.71 per cent on a sequential basis. Net NPA improved QoQ to 3.01 per cent from 3.95 per cent.

कोटद्वार सोमवार शाम से क्षेत्र में रुक रुक कर हो रही मूसलाधार बारिश से ठंड का प्रकोप बढ़ गया क्षेत्र में शीतलहर चलने से तापमान में भारी गिरावट दर्ज की गई बारिश से काश्तकारों के चेहरे खिल गए मौसम की पहली बारिश रवि की फसल के लिए लाभदायक सिद्ध हो रही है काश्तकार इस बारिश को वरदान मान रहे हैं। इस बारिश से गेहूं और दलहनी फसलों की पैदावार बढ़ जाएगी। और उन्हें अच्छा मुनाफा मिल पाएगा।
वहीं काश्तकारों का कहना है सही समय पर हुई है यह वर्षा किसानों के लिए वरदान है भले ही ठंड का प्रकोप बढ़ा है मगर प्राकृतिक रूप से हो रही है बरसात गेहूं की फसल के लिए बहुत लाभदायक है ।
वही किसी विशेषज्ञ का कहना है कि इस बारिश से उन किसानों को ज्यादा लाभ मिलेगा जिनके पास सिंचाई की सुविधा नहीं है इस समय जो फसलों में कलियां निकल रही हैं बरसात होने से उन कलियों में दाने ज्यादा निकलेंगे जिससे किसानों की पैदावार में बढ़ोतरी होगी।
