Bhumi Pednekar recently appeared in the comedy Thank You For Coming and the film invited some extreme reactions from the viewers. While some praised the film for its bold concept, some shamed it for that. In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble host Akash Bhatnagar, Bhumi spoke about the latter group of people and slammed them for the shaming. She expressed her disappointment towards people who didn’t criticise the film but its intent. The actress discussed the prevalent gender bias and how people never took offence when she was a part of such stories told from a male perspective. She pointed out how Pankaj Tripathi and Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2 was supported by the same people who shamed her film, when somewhere they dealt with the same subject. Bhumi revealed if not getting any support from women within the industry disappointed her. She highlighted the hypocrisy of the situation that people accept objectification of women but have a problem with them talking about their sexuality. You can watch the entire conversation here.

#Hermit is a modular surveillance ware that hides its malicious capabilities in packages downloaded after it is deployed. Researchers have uncovered enterprise-grade Android surveillance ware used by the government of Kazakhstan within its borders.
Whereas NSO, had created the most lethal cyber weapon in the world, called Pegasus, the ultimate spyware, has always maintained that it was being sold only to governments. Pegasus was developed by the Israeli cyber company #NSOGroup that can be covertly installed on mobile phones and other devices. It was capable of reading text messages, tracking calls, collecting passwords, location tracking, accessing the target device's microphone and camera, and harvesting information from apps.
The sale was under strict supervision of the Israeli government, as per the legal protocol and things have been running fine. There have been thick rumours of its misuse for quite some time and in lots of cases, it was becoming difficult to believe that it was being used only for the purposes, it was meant for or sold for.
Currently, a committee is trying to unravel the truth behind it. While India waits with bated breath for the truth to come out, other such enquiries have already started spilling the beans. A special enquiry committee was launched in April 2022 to investigate alleged breaches of EU law. NSO admitted to the European Union lawmakers that the Pegasus tool was used by at least five countries of the region.
Google has found strong evidence that enterprise-grade Android spyware called Hermit is being used via SMS messages to target high-profile Android users. Hermit is a highly configurable spyware with enterprise-grade capabilities to collect and transmit data. The spyware also attempts to maintain data integrity of collected evidence by sending a hash-based message authentication code or HMAC.
As per the analysts, the #spywareHermit is likely developed by Italian spyware vendor

According to the 1H Global Threat Landscape Report from FortiGuard Labs, ransomware incidents have increased nearly 1100% from June 2020 to June 2021. In a recent global ransomware survey conducted by Fortinet, an astonishing 67% of organizations report having been a ransomware target. Data is the lifeblood of modern business, providing valuable business insight and supporting real-time control over critical business processes and operations. Edge computing is a distributed information technology architecture in which client data is processed at the periphery of the network, as close to the originating source as possible. In our individual lock-down environments, each of us is an edge node of the Internet, and all our computing is, mostly, edge computing. Research predicts that between 2019 and 2028, cumulative capital expenditures of up to $800 billion will be spent on new and replacement IT server equipment and edge computing facilities. These expenditures will be relatively evenly split between equipment for the device and infrastructure edges. The new digital norms created in response to the pandemic will be permanent. Pegasus, created by NSO of Israel, goes down as the deadliest tool made for compromising smartphones. #NSO is best known for marketing #Pegasus. This is a highly invasive tool which is said to switch on a target’s cell phone camera & microphone and access it’s data. In real terms the phone is turned into a pocket spy. PEGASUS is well recognised as the POCKET SPY. What it could mean to the future of democracy need not be debated. The usage of this tool is to go through the Israeli govt. route. #Facebook in October, owner of #WhatsApp filed a suit against NSO in US levelling charges that this company has been using this popular messaging service as a platform to conduct cyber espionage. It claims this sort of espionage was conducted on nearly 1,400 journalists, diplomats and human rights activists worldwide.
It’s been used as a political tool, is the claim. Senior officials of over 20 countries allied with the US have reportedly been the targets of the hacking campaign. NSO on the other hand has requested the court to sanction Facebook for $17,000 as legal fees. It challenges the basic premise of the lawsuit stating that it only provides software to governments with the only purpose of fighting terrorism and crime. A subject matter expert says, this seems to be the replay of the FBI and Apple case, though this time both the parties to the case are private business entities. In the interplay of these two legendary companies comes the roles of governments and how data / fact / official work and approval is devised and taken through. Hence, the capability of being able to get, use and manipulate data by hook or by crook is turning out to be the winning combination. The legal battle will always be an afterthought.

सावधान, आप कैमरे की निगरानी में हैं... या ऊपर वाला सब देख रहा है, इस तरह के चेतावनी भरे वाक्य अक्सर बाजारों, दुकानों, धार्मिक स्थलों में देखने मिल जाते हैं। इनका मकसद होता है आम जनता को कुछ भी गलत करने से रोकना और ये बताना कि अगर जान बूझ कर कोई गलत काम किया, तो कैमरा आपकी गलती पकड़ लेगा। बिलकुल इसी अंदाज़ में देश में फिलहाल यही चेतावनी अघोषित तरीके से सुनाई दे रही है। सावधान, इंडिया, ये बात अब बिना कहे, सुनने और समझने का वक्त आ गया है। क्योंकि वाकई कोई है जो आप पर निगाह रख रहा है, कोई है जो आपकी बातें सुन रहा है, कोई है जो आपकी लिखी हर बात को पढ़ रहा है और कोई है, जो न जाने आपकी जानी-अनजानी सारी बातों को देख रहा है। इस निगरानी का मकसद किसी गलत काम को रोकना है या कुछ और है, इस बात का खुलासा होना बाकी है, लेकिन इतना तय है कि इस निगरानी से फिलहाल देश की राजनीति गर्माई हुई है। सरकार जैसे हर बात पर अनजान बन कर चुप्पी साध लेती है, वैसे ही इस बार भी सरकार को कुछ नहीं पता है। सरकार की इस बेखबरी को देखकर कभी-कभी आश्चर्य होता है कि आखिर इतना बड़ा देश किस तरीके से सरकार चला रही है।

दुनियाभर के 17 मीडिया संस्थानों की कंसोर्टियम ने दावा किया है कि दुनिया के कई देशों में सरकारें पत्रकारों और ऐक्टिविस्टों की जासूसी करा रही है। वैश्विक स्तर पर कुछ मीडिया संस्थानों द्वारा मिलकर प्रकाशित की गयी इस रिपोर्ट में भारत समेत विभिन्न देशों में इजरायली NSO ग्रुप के 'पेगासस' स्पाईवेयर के जरिए कई लोगों के सर्विलांस की बात कही गई। रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, भारत में कम से कम 38 लोगों की जासूसी की गई। इनमें पत्रकारों से लेकर कारोबारियों, मंत्रियों और एक सुप्रीम कोर्ट जज का नाम भी आया है। लीक हुए डेटा में 50000 से अधिक फोन नंबरों की सूची है।

Around 14.33 lakh jobs were created in November 2019 as compared with 12.60 lakh in the previous month, according to payroll data of the Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC). Gross enrolments of new subscribers with ESIC were 1.49 crore during the entire financial year 2018-19, the National Statistical Office (NSO) said in a report.
