India Gaming Conference 2021

The gaming industry is one of the key components of the digital ecosystem of India. It has shown impressive growth in consumer adoption over the last few years primarily on account of an increase in mobile gaming and was further accelerated in 2020 on account of COVID-19. India is currently among the top 5 mobile gaming markets in the world. With strong demand from consumers and increasing monetization opportunities in the future, there exists a significant opportunity for Indian gaming studios, developers, and publishers to leverage this opportunity and tap into its potential to generate employment in the sector in India. In addition, with a growing consumer base, foreign gaming studios also have a significant opportunity to enter India and help foster innovation. However, there is some regulatory uncertainty in the segment and hence presents a challenge for the same.

With the above background, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in partnership with the Indian Digital Gaming Society (IDGS) is organizing a high-level virtual conference “India Gaming Conference 2021” from 26 February - 13 March 2021 from 1500 hrs to 1715 hrs. The theme for this 3rd edition of the conference is GAMING FOR GOOD – Build in India, Build for the World. The gaming conference will aim to present the various opportunities and challenges which domestic and Indian gaming companies have in the Indian market as well as provide recommendations around developing a thriving gaming ecosystem in India.
