Wriddhiman Saha was dropped from the Indian Test squad for the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka. Saha has now alleged that the team management had told him that he would not be considered for selection from here on.
Saha further added that he was told to start thinking about retiring from the game and said that he could not reveal this as long as he was a part of the side.
“The team management had told me that I would not be considered henceforth. I could not tell this so long as I was part of the India team setup. Even coach Rahul Dravid suggested that I think about taking retirement,” said Saha in a press conference as quoted by News18.
Wriddhiman Saha has taken to Twitter to post a screenshot of a conversation that a journalist had with him. In the conversation, the journalist is asking Saha to do an interview with him.
The journalist also tells Saha to choose the person who can help him the most. The journalist further stated in the message that Saha had not called him, and even states that this insult will not be taken kindly.
The journalist even warns Saha that he should not have behaved in this manner. The Indian cricketer stated that after his contributions to Indian cricket, he is getting such messages from the so called respected journalists.

Sunrisers Hyderabad’s head coach Trevor Bayliss didn’t wish to spill the beans as far as selecting the playing eleven for the team’s upcoming game against Rajasthan Royals was concerned. On Saturday, September 25, the Orange Army slumped to their eighth defeat in nine games in IPL 2021 after their five-run loss to the Punjab Kings at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
On being asked if England’s Jason Roy is in contention for the next game, Bayliss didn’t answer in the affirmative. Rather, the veteran said that calls on selecting the eleven will be taken in a team meeting on Sunday, September 26. Roy is yet to get a game for SRH after being roped in as a replacement for Australia’s Mitchell Marsh.
“Jason Roy is obviously our spare overseas batter. I am sure the management will get together to discuss and pick a team. I am not going to select a team right now. We’ll sleep on that, think about it, and have a selection meeting tomorrow (Sunday),” Bayliss was quoted as saying.
Former South Africa captain Shaun Pollock analysed SRH's poor batting and pointed out issues that has been their problem throughout. Of course, there is David Warner's poor form, but furthermore, it is the repeated failures and selection of two Indian batsmen in the middle-order – Manish Pandey and Kedar Jadhav – that the former SA pacer is confused with. The journalist also tells Saha to choose the person who can help him the most. The journalist further stated in the message that Saha had not called him, and even states that this insult will not be taken kindly.
The journalist even warns Saha that he should not have behaved in this manner. The Indian cricketer stated that after his contributions to Indian cricket, he is getting such messages from the so called respected journalists.

So far, the combination has been a grand success until the recent South Africa series, where India went under the scanner.
Although the regulars Rohit, Kohli, and Jasprit Bumrah were rested, a young India team suffered back-to-back heavy defeats in the first two games of the five-match series under Rishabh Pant’s captaincy.
