മിനറല്‍ വാട്ടര്‍ ആരോഗ്യത്തിന് അത്യുത്തമം എന്ന പരസ്യകമ്പനികള്ളുടെ അവകാശം വാസ്തവവിരുദ്ധമെന്ന് പുതിയ പഠനങ്ങള്‍ തെളിയിക്കുന്നു .ശുദ്ധമായ വെള്ളം ആരോഗ്യത്തിന് നല്ലത് തന്നെയാണ് എന്നാല്‍ ശുദ്ധ ജലമെന്ന പേരിൽ നാം വാങ്ങി കുടിക്കുന്നതൊന്നും ശുദ്ധ ജലമല്ല എന്നാണ് പുറത്ത് വരുന്ന വിവരങ്ങൾ . മിനറല്‍ വാട്ടര്‍ കുടിക്കുന്നത് ആരോഗ്യത്തിന് അത്യുത്തമം എന്നാണ് പരസ്യക്കമ്പനികള്‍ നമ്മെ പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്.എന്നാൽ കമ്പനികള്‍ അവകാശപ്പെടുന്നതില്‍ അധികവും വാസ്തവവിരുദ്ധമാണ് എന്നാണ് ഏറ്റവും പുതിയ പഠനങ്ങള്‍ തെളിയിക്കുന്നത്. നാം വാങ്ങി കുടിക്കുന്ന മിനറൽ വാട്ടർ അഥവാ packaged drink water രാസ വസ്തുക്കൾ ചേർത്ത് അണുവിമുക്തമാക്കിയവയാണ് .അതായത് ഈ ശുദ്ധമെന്ന് കരുതി നാം കുടിക്കുന്ന വെള്ളം രാസവസ്തു അടങ്ങിയതാണെന്ന് അർത്ഥം . ധാതുജലം കുടിക്കുന്നത് കൊണ്ടുമാത്രം പ്രത്യേക ഊര്‍ജ്ജമൊന്നും ലഭിക്കില്ല എന്നാണ് പഠനങ്ങള്‍ വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നത്.കൂടുതൽ ശുദ്ധവും അണുവിമുക്തവുമാക്കാൻ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നവയൊക്കെ തന്നെ ഇത്തരത്തിൽ കൂടുതൽ അപകടങ്ങൾ ക്ഷണിച്ചു വരുത്തുകയാണ് .അണുവിമുക്തമാക്കാൻ അണുനാശിനി ആയി കാത്സ്യം ഹൈപ്പോക്ലോറേറ്റ്, വെള്ളം തെളിയാൻ 'ആലം' അഥവാ ഇരട്ട സൽഫേറ്റുകൾ, സോഡിയം ഹൈഡ്രോക്‌സൈഡ് അഥവാ കാസ്റ്റിക് സോഡാ തുടങ്ങിയവയാണു പാക്കേജ്ഡ് വാട്ടറിൽ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്. ഇതു മാത്രമല്ല, അണുനാശിനി ആയി ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന ക്ലോറിൻ അളവ് പലപ്പോഴും കുപ്പി വെള്ളത്തിൽ അനുവദനീയ അളവിലും കൂടിയ നിലയിലായിരിക്കും . അപ്പോൾ ക്ലോറിൻ അംശം ടെസ്റ്റിൽ കിട്ടാതിരിക്കാൻ ഒരു രാസപദാർത്ഥം ചേർക്കും. അതിനു ഡ്രിങ്കിങ് വാട്ടർ കമ്പനികളിൽ വിളിക്കുന്ന പേര് 'ഗ്രാം ആസിഡ്'എന്നാണ് .കുപ്പിവെള്ളം എല്ലാം മിനറല്‍ വാട്ടറാണ് എന്നത് വെറും തെറ്റിധാരണ മാത്രമാണ് .കടയില്‍ നിന്നും വാങ്ങുന്ന കുപ്പിവെള്ളമെല്ലാം ധാതു സമ്പന്നമാണെന്ന് പൊതുവെ ധാരണ . എന്നാല്‍ ഇത് വാങ്ങും മുൻപ് ഈ വെള്ളക്കുപ്പിയുടെ അടപ്പിലുള്ള സീലില്‍ എഴുതിവെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത് ഒന്ന് വായിക്കുക . കുപ്പിവെള്ളം “പാക്കേജ്ഡ് വാട്ടര്‍” മാത്രമാണ്. അതില്‍ ശുദ്ധ ജലത്തെക്കാള്‍ ധാതുക്കളുടെ അളവ് കൂടുതല്‍ ഇല്ല.ഇവയ

ഇന്ത്യ, ചൈന, ബ്രസീല്‍, ഇന്‍ഡോനേഷ്യ, കെനിയ, ലെബനന്‍, മെക്‌സിക്കോ, തായ്ലന്‍ഡ്, യുഎസ് എന്നീ രാജ്യങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നാണ് പഠനത്തിനായി 250 കുപ്പി വെള്ളം ശേഖരിച്ചത്. ശേഖരിച്ച സാമ്പിളുകളില്‍ 93 ശതമാനത്തിലും പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക്കിന്റെ അംശം പഠനത്തില്‍ കണ്ടെത്തി.
അക്വാ, അക്വാഫിന, ബിസ്ലേരി, ഡസാനി, ഏവിയാന്‍, നെസ്ലെ പ്യൂര്‍ ലൈഫ്, എപുറ, ജെറോള്‍സ്റ്റെയ്‌നര്‍, മിനല്‍ബ, വഹാഹ തുടങ്ങിയ പ്രമുഖബ്രാന്‍ഡുകളും ഇതില്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പെടുന്നുണ്ട്.
കുപ്പികളില്‍ വെള്ളം നിറച്ച ശേഷം മൂടി ഘടിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ഘട്ടത്തിലാണ് പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക് ശകലങ്ങള്‍ കടന്നുകൂടുന്നതെന്നാണ് നിരീക്ഷണം. പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക് മൂടികള്‍ ഉണ്ടാക്കാന്‍ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന പോളി പ്രൊപ്പലിന്‍, നൈലോണ്‍, പോളിഎത്തിലിന്‍ ട്രെപ്താലെറ്റ് എന്നിവയാണ് വെള്ളത്തില്‍ കലര്‍ന്നത്. ഇത്തരത്തില്‍ പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക് മാലിന്യം കലര്‍ന്ന കുപ്പിവെള്ളം കുടിക്കുന്നത് ഓട്ടിസം, കാന്‍സര്‍, പുരുഷന്‍മാരിലെ വന്ധ്യത എന്നിവയിലേക്ക് വരെ നയിക്കുമെന്ന് ന്യൂയോര്‍ക്ക് സര്‍വകലാശാലയിലെ മൈക്രോപ്ലാസ്റ്റിക് ഗവേഷക ഷെറി മാസണ്‍ പറയുന്നു

സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് കുപ്പിവെള്ളത്തിന് 13 രൂപയാക്കണമെന്ന തീരുമാനം അനിശ്ചിതത്ത്വത്തിൽ.സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് കുപ്പിവെള്ളത്തിന് വില 13 രൂപയായി കുറച്ചെന്ന കേരള ബോട്ടിൽഡ് വാട്ടർ മാനുഫാക്ച്ചറേഴ്‌സ് അസോസിയേഷന്റെ തീരുമാനം അനിശ്ചിതത്ത്വത്തിൽ. അസോസിയേഷനിലെ ഒരു വിഭാഗത്തിന്റെ എതിർപ്പാണ് കാരണം. കടകളിൽനിന്ന് 20 രൂപയ്ക്ക് വാങ്ങുന്ന കുപ്പിവെള്ളത്തിന് 12 രൂപയാക്കണമെന്നാണ് അസോസിയേഷൻ ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടത്. സർക്കാർ ഇടപെട്ട് അത് 13 രൂപയാക്കണമെന്ന ഓർഡിനൻസും പുറത്തിറക്കി. എന്നാൽ, ബഹുരാഷ്ട്ര കുത്തക കമ്പനികൾ വിലയിൽ മാറ്റംവരുത്താൻ തയ്യാറാകാത്തത് ഇതിനു തടസ്സമായി. ഇതോടെ പ്രതിസന്ധിയിലായ ചെറുകിട കച്ചവടക്കാർ പഴയവിലയിൽ തന്നെയാണ് വിൽപ്പനനടത്തിയത്. 154 കമ്പനികൾക്കാണ് കുപ്പിവെള്ളം നിർമിക്കാനും വിപണനം നടത്താനുമുള്ള ലൈസൻസുള്ളത്.
ഇതിൽ ഒരു ലിറ്റർ കുപ്പിവെള്ളം വിൽക്കുന്നവരും ചെറിയ അളവിൽ വിൽപ്പന നടത്തുന്നവരുമുണ്ട്. ഏപ്രിൽ രണ്ടുമുതൽ വിലക്കുറവ് പ്രാബല്യത്തിൽ വരുമെന്നായിരുന്നു പ്രഖ്യാപനമെങ്കിലും എങ്ങും വേണ്ടവിധത്തിൽ നടപ്പായില്ല.കുപ്പിവെള്ളത്തിന്റെ വിലക്കൂടുതൽ ഗുണനിലവാരം മൂലമാണെന്ന് സ്ഥാപിക്കുന്നവരും ഏറെയുണ്ട്. എന്നാൽ, പാക്കേജ് ഡ്രിങ്കിങ് വാട്ടറിന് കേന്ദ്ര ഐ.എസ്. (ഇന്ത്യൻ സ്റ്റാന്റേർഡ്) 14543 നിലവാരം രേഖപ്പെടുത്തും

ഇന്ത്യയുള്‍പ്പെടെയുള്ള ലോകരാജ്യങ്ങളില്‍ വില്‍ക്കപ്പെടുന്ന പ്രമുഖ ബ്രാന്‍ഡുകളുടെ കുപ്പിവെള്ളത്തില്‍ പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക്കിന്റെ അംശം ഉള്ളതായിട്ടാണ് കണ്ടെത്തല്‍
ഇന്ത്യ, ചൈന, ബ്രസീല്‍, ഇന്‍ഡോനേഷ്യ, കെനിയ, ലെബനന്‍, മെക്‌സിക്കോ, തായ്ലന്‍ഡ്, യുഎസ് എന്നീ രാജ്യങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നാണ് പഠനത്തിനായി 250 കുപ്പി വെള്ളം ശേഖരിച്ചത്. ശേഖരിച്ച സാമ്പിളുകളില്‍ 93 ശതമാനത്തിലും പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക്കിന്റെ അംശം പഠനത്തില്‍ കണ്ടെത്തി.
അക്വാ, അക്വാഫിന, ബിസ്ലേരി, ഡസാനി, ഏവിയാന്‍, നെസ്ലെ പ്യൂര്‍ ലൈഫ്, എപുറ, ജെറോള്‍സ്റ്റെയ്‌നര്‍, മിനല്‍ബ, വഹാഹ തുടങ്ങിയ പ്രമുഖബ്രാന്‍ഡുകളും ഇതില്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പെടുന്നുണ്ട്.
കുപ്പികളില്‍ വെള്ളം നിറച്ച ശേഷം മൂടി ഘടിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ഘട്ടത്തിലാണ് പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക് ശകലങ്ങള്‍ കടന്നുകൂടുന്നതെന്നാണ് നിരീക്ഷണം. പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക് മൂടികള്‍ ഉണ്ടാക്കാന്‍ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന പോളി പ്രൊപ്പലിന്‍, നൈലോണ്‍, പോളിഎത്തിലിന്‍ ട്രെപ്താലെറ്റ് എന്നിവയാണ് വെള്ളത്തില്‍ കലര്‍ന്നത്. ഇത്തരത്തില്‍ പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക് മാലിന്യം കലര്‍ന്ന കുപ്പിവെള്ളം കുടിക്കുന്നത് ഓട്ടിസം, കാന്‍സര്‍, പുരുഷന്‍മാരിലെ വന്ധ്യത എന്നിവയിലേക്ക് വരെ നയിക്കുമെന്ന് ന്യൂയോര്‍ക്ക് സര്‍വകലാശാലയിലെ മൈക്രോപ്ലാസ്റ്റിക് ഗവേഷക ഷെറി മാസണ്‍ പറയുന്നു
