Kedarkantha Trek In Winters | Kedarkantha Trek 2020 | Uttrakhand Tourism | Short Teaser Video

Kedarkantha is one of the finest gems in the Himalayan range situated in Uttrakhand and the trek to the Kedarkantha summit is a wonderfully redeeming experience.

No wonder that it is one of the most popular treks in Indian during winter. The serene beauty and clear openings combined with a sheet of snow on top is a treat for nature lovers and make up for a great Instagram story as well.

Kedarkantha trek distance is about 20 Kilometers long and the Kedarkantha summit is at a height of 12,500 ft above the sea level, which makes up for a great view from the top of the climb.

Kedarkantha was supposed to be known as ‘Kedarnath’ but while sculpting the Lord Shiva’s sculpture, a mishap happened and the sculptures were only able to construct up until Shiva’s neck, hence calling it ‘Kedar-Kantha’ meaning Lord Shiva’s neck.

One thing that separates Kedarkantha from the rest of the treks is that it falls under the category of a moderately difficult trek. It is a beginner-friendly trek yet the view from the top of the summit has a mesmerizing aura and sometimes can be more appealing as compared to treks that are labeled with hard difficulty.

Although, Kedarkantha is open for trekking all year long yet the majority of people prefer visiting during winters for the aforementioned reasons. The best time to visit Kedar Kantha is from December to April.

The Kedarkantha Trek starts from a small village called Sankri and then move onto Juda Ka Taal. From there the group heads onto the Kedarkantha base camp finally reaching the Kedarkantha summit at last. The trek lasts for a total of 5 days and covers a variety of attractions on the way including one of the most sensational sunsets/sunrise views.

Kedarkantha is one of the few places where one cannot capture the full essence of the experience on their first visit and hence, trekkers repeatedly keep coming back here.

So, make some room for Kedarkantha Trek in 2019’

Spiti Valley Road Trip 2019 | Cinametic Tour Highlights | Himachal Pradesh Tourism

Spiti is waiting for you, want to know why?

Some people say it takes a certain amount of madness to go on a trip like this and we agree with those people. Spiti one of the remotest region of India which remains blocked for most of the year is ideal for Wravelers looking to explore places.

Spiti Valley is a vast cold desert mountain valley located in the Himalayas in the north-eastern part of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. The word "Spiti" depicts "The Middle Land", which was a bridge where the two great traditions of India and Tibet diffused in the trans-Himalayan region.

The subdivisional headquarters or capital of this valley is Kaza, which is situated near the Spiti River at an elevation of around 3,800 meters. There are two routes by which one can reach Spiti, which are from Manali via Rohtang and Kunzum Pass and from Shimla via Hindustan Tibet highway, which is often considered one of the most treacherous road.

Spiti Valley is fed by several fast-flowing streams that drain into the Spiti river. Being one of the remotest regions of India which remains blocked for most of the year is ideal for Wravelers looking to explore places. A circular 8 days Spiti road trip can be the best way to explore this amazing place with freckles of green over the dry weather-beaten face, Spiti, a cold dessert that is characterized by a start relentless beauty, narrow valleys and high mountains.

Why You Should be Visiting Chitkul?

The last inhabited village on the Indo-Tibetan border is Chitkul, around 569 kilometers from Delhi and 24 kilometers from Sangla and is famous for its sunsets, potatoes, apples and the incredible hospitality of the locals.

At 3450m, Chitkul is well over a few mountain tops in Himachal alone that makes it witness very cold winters during which the snow makes the inhabitants move to the lower regions of Himachal.

Chitkul is famously known for the quality of potatoes that are produced, they are one of the finest in the world. Situated on the bank of river Baspa, Chitkul is the first village of Baspa Valley and the last village on the old Hindustan-Tibet trade route and is also the last point in India that one can travel to without a permit.
