These days, due to increasing heat and drought, people in Shimla are facing water shortage. In many areas, water is arriving after four to five weeks and in some areas, it takes four to five weeks. In such a situation, people now have to meet their water needs by reaching stepwells and hand pumps. Of these two, 31 to 33 MLD of water is reaching Shimla city which requires 40 to 45 MLD. The water in the water sources has reached its lowest level, so now only rain is expected to rain soon so that the water requirement of the city can be met. Regarding the water crisis arising in Shimla, Municipal Corporation Shimla Mayor Surendra Chauhan says that along with developing water harvesting system in Shimla, there is a need to separate drinking and used water so that in future there is a need for water in Shimla. Necessities can be arranged.

What is it about Indian filmmakers and their fascination with London-bred heroes? Director Anand Shankar could have picked any other European country on the world map, but he has chosen London as the hero’s second hometown in his new film NOTA. Like the British Raj, V Varun (Vijay Devarakonda) comes to India for a temporary stay but settles down here permanently to rule one of the country’s states. Is growing up or even studying in London enough to be a leader in India?Anand’s NOTA plot overlaps with director Koratala Siva’s Bharat Ane Nenu, which also followed the story of a prodigal son who returns from London. Like Varun, even Bharat was also in a hurry to leave India for London. But, they both are forced to take up the responsibility of a state government in their father’s stead. But, the similarities between the two films stop right there. NOTA has one up on Bharat Ane Nenu as it has more substance-- -- -- -- -- ---- ----- --- --- --------------- ---

Varun(Vijay Devarakonda) is a spoilt brat who is not interested in his corrupt father’s(Nasser) political life. To his , his dad makes him the CM of the state for a temporary period. Initially, Varun takes things on a silly note but a small incident changes his mind and he becomes committed to his job which is not liked by his dad. Rest of the story is as to how Varun fights his father and finally continues as the CM of the state.Vijay Devarakonda is the biggest asset of the film as his sincere performance is the one which gives freshness to this routine political thriller. Vijay performs with ease as all his scenes as the CM have been executed well and the star hero looks and plays his part convincingly.
Political thrillers like these need to have a strong supporting cast and NOTA is spot on in that department. Nasser is top class as the cunning politician as his role has a lot of weight and he makes things interesting whenever he is on screen. Satyaraj plays his key role well and ably supports Vijay throughout the film.
