ये वीडियो में रो रही महिलाएं युवक शफात अहमद को घर वापस आने की अपील कर रही है। तीन दिन पहले शफात अहमद घर से बाजार के लिए निकला था, लेकिन वापस नहीं आया। जिसके बाद घरवालों का रो-रोकर बुरा हाल है। आशंका जताई जा रही है शफात आतंक की दुनिया में शामिल हो गया है। गांदरबल के कंगन के थूने इलाके का रहने वाला शफात ने ग्रेजुएशन की है और अपने माता-पिता का इकलौता बेटा है . शफात श्रीनगर के लाला चौक में एक मेडिकल स्टोर में काम कर रहा था। आचनक घर से गायब होने के बाद घरवालों ने गुमशुदगी की रिपोर्ट पुलिस थाने में भी दर्ज करवाई लेकिन उसका कहीं भी पता नहीं चल पाया है। मां और बहनें रो-रोकर अपील कर रही है कि शफात जहां भी हो घर वापस आ जाओ साथ ही वो आतंकियों के आकाओं से भी गुहार लगा रही है कि अगर वह आपके पास है तो उसको छोड़ दो।

Three civilians including a lady were killed after government forces opened fire on protesters during clashes in Hawoora village of Redwani area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam District on Saturday.
Official sources said that government forces entered the village to lay cordon and search operation in the area.
However, youth in large number came out on the streets and hurled stones on the vehicles of the forces who retaliated with firing resulting in death of three civilians and several others sustained injuries.
Hospital sources confirmed the death of three civilians namely Shakir Ahmad 22, Irshad Majeed 20 and a girl Andleeb 16, all residents of Hawoora village of Redwani.

The film looks at the direct and indirect ways in which militancy has affected forests in Kashmir. Kashmir's wilderness has been both a source of solace and livelihood for the people. However, the effects of militancy on the life of Kashmir, being all pervasive, have also adversely affected the forest reserves. The thick forest cover initially provided an ideal hideout to militants because of which parts of it had to be razed down. But destruction also came in a myriad other ways. The shrinking of the tourism industry drove a greater number of people to rely on forests for livelihood. Besides, there were also instances where insurgent action destroyed entire towns that were made of wood and consequently, the timber that was used to rebuild these houses severely depleted forests. While looking at some of these issues, the film also focusses on ongoing interventions to renew green expanses in the state.

SRINAGAR: Security has been beefed up across Kashmir ahead of the Independence Day in view of the recent spurt in militancy-related incidents in the valley, officials said.
A thick security blanket has been thrown around vital installations here in the summer capital as well as in other districts of the valley ahead of the Independence Day to thwart any attempt by militants to disrupt the celebrations, the officials said.
