Text of speech of Rahul Gandhi addressing the rally: -
I feel happy to be here with you but sad too as a great leader like Sisa Ram Ola is not with us today. He was a good leader and Jhunjhunu was his karmbhoomi. I had a good relation with him and whenever we meet, he used to talk about this place. He always fought for you.
Congress wants to work for all sections -- the poor, farmers, weak and the downtrodden. There is big difference between us and the BJP. While we want development for all people without any discrimination, BJP wants it for only a selected group.
In the past 10 years of UPA rule at the Centre, about 15 crore people were freed from poverty. It is not a small achievement. We realise that if we need overall development, entire people must have a voice in the system. Congress never supports any policies which are aimed at development of a handful of people.
We launched a scheme to provide free medicines for the poor. But is the present BJP government is implementing it? No. Congress works for all; unites the people. But BJP works for elite and rich.

Rahul Gandhi addressed a public rally at Sirsi, Karnataka on April 07, 2014.
He talked about Shri L.K Advani while referring to UPA government granting special status to backward Hyderabad-Karnataka region comprising six districts in north-east part of the state that would entail special economic benefits to it. "...Advaniji who once used to be the tallest leader of that party had said if article 371(J) is passed country will get divided," Gandhi, said, adding, the UPA government did it. He said Advani's view on passing article 371(J) would disintegrate the country was "incorrect". "He (Advani) said if 371(J) is passed, the country will disintegrate. We passed the 371(J) and the country was not divided. It benefited you, it gave you education, employment," Gandhi added.
Rahul Gandhi ridiculed the Gujarat model by saying, "CM's power in states like this (Karnataka) will be towards empowering poor, getting big projects implemented, but in Gujarat model CM's power will work towards putting police force behind women, their power will also get utilised in tapping women's phones... and these very people talk about women empowerment."

Rahul Gandhi addressed a public rally at Balod, Chhattisgarh on April 09, 2014.
Addressing the rally Rahul Gandhi said, "Chhattisgarh is not a poor state. It has all resources. It is a rich state but the people are poor. The benefit of your resources does not reach the people. It goes to the pockets of a selected few. It goes to the people who propagate 'India Shining'."
In 2004 and 2009 BJP had come out with a slogan India Shining during parliament elections. They did good marketing but the people of our country gave them a befitting reply by routing them.
Talking about the work done by Congress led UPA government, Rahul Gandhi said, "In the past ten years the Congress-led UPA government took various steps to help our farmers, the poor and downtrodden. We waived off loans worth Rs 70000 crore of the poor farmers; opened the doors of the banks for them. When we were initiating these, the BJP tried to block it by asking from where we will have money for it. When we arranged financial resources for it they again opposed it by saying that we were wasting money. But we were determined and went on to implement these schemes.

Bhumi Pednekar recently appeared in the comedy Thank You For Coming and the film invited some extreme reactions from the viewers. While some praised the film for its bold concept, some shamed it for that. In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble host Akash Bhatnagar, Bhumi spoke about the latter group of people and slammed them for the shaming. She expressed her disappointment towards people who didn’t criticise the film but its intent. The actress discussed the prevalent gender bias and how people never took offence when she was a part of such stories told from a male perspective. She pointed out how Pankaj Tripathi and Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2 was supported by the same people who shamed her film, when somewhere they dealt with the same subject. Bhumi revealed if not getting any support from women within the industry disappointed her. She highlighted the hypocrisy of the situation that people accept objectification of women but have a problem with them talking about their sexuality. You can watch the entire conversation here.
