Bhumi Pednekar recently appeared in the comedy Thank You For Coming and the film invited some extreme reactions from the viewers. While some praised the film for its bold concept, some shamed it for that. In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble host Akash Bhatnagar, Bhumi spoke about the latter group of people and slammed them for the shaming. She expressed her disappointment towards people who didn’t criticise the film but its intent. The actress discussed the prevalent gender bias and how people never took offence when she was a part of such stories told from a male perspective. She pointed out how Pankaj Tripathi and Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2 was supported by the same people who shamed her film, when somewhere they dealt with the same subject. Bhumi revealed if not getting any support from women within the industry disappointed her. She highlighted the hypocrisy of the situation that people accept objectification of women but have a problem with them talking about their sexuality. You can watch the entire conversation here.

  • Synthetic Frauds

    Synthetic Frauds

Synthetic fraud is a type of identity theft in which criminals create fake identities using a mix of real and fake information. They may use stolen Social Security numbers, dates of birth, and addresses to create new credit accounts, open bank accounts, and even apply for loans.

Synthetic Fraud fuelled by “Frankenstein Identities” is the hardest to detect and quickly accounting for the highest percentage of fraud losses, primarily involving credit cards and unsecured lending portfolios.

Synthetic Fraud is quite different from the traditional identity theft, and cyber scammers create “Frankenstein Identities”. Instead of stealing a real identity, scammers create a fake identity using a real and/or unused social security number, combine the social security number with a fictitious name, driver’s license and physical address to form the “Frankenstein Identity”.

US economy’s impact on global GDP

America is the world's largest national economy and leading global trader. A growth surge in the world’s largest economy could provide a significant boost to global activity. In contrast, uncertainty about the direction of US policies could have the opposite effect.

An acceleration in US growth would have positive effects for the rest of the world if not counter-balanced by increased trade barriers. However, policy uncertainty could hamper global growth, and could have particularly bad effects on investment growth in emerging and developing economies.

Data Privacy - first line of Defence

It is time for the industry to accept the fact that, #DataPrivacy is first line of Defence and Cyber Security is the second layer of defence.

It is wise to think about it. Data privacy is the first line of defense because it focuses on preventing the collection and use of data in unauthorized ways. Cybersecurity is the second layer of defense because it focuses on protecting data from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, or destruction.

    DuckDuckGo gaining users

DuckDuckGo is a popular search engine and browser app positioned as a privacy-friendly alternative to Google. There have been around 122 billion searches on DuckDuckGo in the 14 years since it was launched.

The focus on privacy has helped propel DuckDuckGo’s growth since it was founded back in 2008 that claims it does not store the personal information of its users, ever. This means all searches done on the search engine are always anonymous..

The widespread backlash following a recent tracking controversy has threatened to reverse that growth. Duckduckgo Holds A Total Market Share Of 2.38% In The USA.

Experts says, depending on your needs and priorities, Google may not be the best search engine. DuckDuckGo is rapidly gaining users due to its privacy focus, especially in contrast to Google's all-seeing eyes.

DuckDuckGo is one of Google’s more formidable competitors. This is especially true for those users who hold privacy as a critical component to deciding which search engine is best for them. It is also true that, DuckDuckGo has plenty more to offer searchers in addition to its increased privacy protections.

it is always encouraging to see the crypto market so firmly in the green. It is a sign that investors are confident in the future of crypto and that the market is maturing.

The crypto market is known for its volatility, but it has also experienced significant growth in recent years. The total market capitalization of all cryptocurrencies has reached to over $1 trillion today.

After months of stagnation, bitcoin has finally moved past $28,000 as ETH is heading towards $1,800. No doubt both are enjoying an uplift from the approval won by the Valkaree investment fund to hold both ETH and BTC futures, which will potentially bode well for other ETH futures applications that are currently in the pipeline.

Data Privacy can reduce attack surfaces

Data privacy is the practice of protecting data from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, or destruction. It is a critical component of cybersecurity, as it helps to reduce the risk of data breaches and other cyberattacks.

Attack surfaces are the part of a system or network that are exposed to potential attack. By adopting data privacy measures, organizations can reduce the size of their attack surfaces and make it more difficult for attackers to gain access to their systems and data.

    Server-Based Attacks

As the threat landscape is expanding, it is observed that the significant source of initial compromise is not limited to the traditional ones. Majority of enterprises stated that cloud security is one of their topmost concerns and one in which they believe their enterprise is most vulnerable to a serious security breach.

Attackers are finding newer and more creative ways to infiltrate servers, processors, and residing memories, and hence making risk mitigation severely complicated for enterprises. With the increase in cyberattacks, it is also observed that in most of the cases, such as supply chain attacks, the attackers keep their malware footprint very low, preferring to steal and use credentials to perform lateral movement through the network and establish legitimate remote access.

This includes attacks on networks, systems, applications, and people.

It is true that the intruders have found newer and smarter ways of spreading crippling and toxic malware to infiltrate organizations and steal sensitive and confidential data or demand ransom. To top it all, the recent innovations in malware tend to intensively impact enterprises from a resource and computational standpoint. Cryptojacking, for example, installs malware on a device or server to steal computing resources for cryptomining purposes, which in turn performs the same compute-intensive encryption repeatedly.

Hackers Caught Hiding in Cisco Router Firmware

A Chinese state-sponsored advanced persistent threat (APT) called BlackTech was caught modifying router firmware on Cisco routers to maintain stealthy persistence and pivot from international subsidiaries to corporate headquarters.

The NSA and FBI warn that a Chinese state-sponsored APT called BlackTech is hacking into network edge devices and using firmware implants to silently hop around the corporate networks of the U.S. and Japanese companies.

The attackers used a variety of methods to exploit the Cisco routers, including:

Exploiting vulnerabilities in the Cisco IOS firmware.
Using social engineering techniques to trick victims into installing malicious firmware.
Replacing legitimate firmware with malicious firmware.
Once the attackers had compromised a router, they would use it to launch further attacks on the network, such as stealing data or installing malware on other devices.
