A Billion & One Voices: The Story of Shabbir & Kashyap
This is a fascinating story of two people belonging to different backgrounds, coming together for a bigger cause. Kashyap Nandan is a business analyst in a multinational company who moved to Bangalore for better opportunities. Apart from his career he's also interested in the well being of people. He explains that as a monk they have to go step by step to reach a certain level. They follow monastic codes and start with becoming a monk and after 2-3 years they become a Getsul. After that comes a stage when a monk becomes a Geelong. There are more than 200 rules to follow when you become a Geelong.

Majeed came to Mewat, Haryana 50 years back. He has seen some tough times since. He built a small hut and lived with his wife and four children. Majeed worked as a laborer, he did all kinds of jobs like breaking stones, loading bricks, digging and construction work etc. He later learnt how to drive and would drive a tractor.
As the children grew older he felt his hut became overcrowded. So he availed the Priyadarshini Awaas Yojna that provided him with financial assistance of INR 90,100 from the state for the construction of a new home in three installments.
Majeed now lives in new home with his wife, 4 children and grandchildren a very happy life.
