Bhumi Pednekar recently appeared in the comedy Thank You For Coming and the film invited some extreme reactions from the viewers. While some praised the film for its bold concept, some shamed it for that. In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble host Akash Bhatnagar, Bhumi spoke about the latter group of people and slammed them for the shaming. She expressed her disappointment towards people who didn’t criticise the film but its intent. The actress discussed the prevalent gender bias and how people never took offence when she was a part of such stories told from a male perspective. She pointed out how Pankaj Tripathi and Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2 was supported by the same people who shamed her film, when somewhere they dealt with the same subject. Bhumi revealed if not getting any support from women within the industry disappointed her. She highlighted the hypocrisy of the situation that people accept objectification of women but have a problem with them talking about their sexuality. You can watch the entire conversation here.

JAMMU LINKS NEWS | Civil society organisations and business and trade bodies today kept up their protests against the petitions in the Supreme Court challenging the validity of Article 35A of the Constitution.
Article 35A, which was incorporated in the Constitution by a 1954 Presidential Order, accords special rights and privileges to the Jammu and Kashmir citizens and denies property rights to a woman who marries a person from outside the state.
About 200 members of the Jammu and Kashmir Trade Union staged a peaceful sit-in at the fruit mandi in Parimpora area on the outskirts of the city here, a police official said.
Civil society members, including members of the minority Pandit community, later staged a sit-in at Pratap Park in the heart of the city.

The Terrorists appeared at the Jammu and Kashmir Bank's branch at Brakpora in south Kashmir's Anantnag district, they said.
A police official said the ultras took away a 12 Bore rifle from the guard.
There are no reports of cash loot, the official said, adding a police party has reached the spot.

JAMMU LINKS NEWS | Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday said two persons who were caught on camera assaulting traffic cops at Polo View have been arrested.
“A video went viral, wherein, Scooty borne youth, assaulted traffic police party at Polo View while the traffic cops were discharging professional duties. Cognizance was taken by Police Station Kothibagh and an FIR No 71/2018 under section 353 RPC was registered,” said a police spokesman.
One of the culprits, identified as Mir Nauman of BK Pora Nowgam, was arrested during the course of investigation. “In continuation with the investigation of the case, one more accused Mir Hanan resident of B. K. Pora, Nowgam was also arrested,” he said.

JAMMU LINKS NEWS | A group of unidentified terrorists today robbed Rs 5.78 lakh from a bank in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.
About six to eight unknown terrorists barged into State Bank of India (SBI) Qaimoh branch in the afternoon, a police official said.
He said the militants looted Rs 5.78 lakh in cash from the bank and fled the scene.
The police have launched a manhunt for the accused and are trying to trace the bank notes, the official added.
