A Billion & One Voices: The Story of Shabbir & Kashyap
This is a fascinating story of two people belonging to different backgrounds, coming together for a bigger cause. Kashyap Nandan is a business analyst in a multinational company who moved to Bangalore for better opportunities. Apart from his career he's also interested in the well being of people. Pushpavalli Ramaswamy from Mysore, Karnataka is an ex Deputy Mayor. She contested elections for the first time in 2001, and won the very first time. For any State to prosper it's necessary for it to have a framework where business can flourish" says A.P. Singh Chatha, President of Amritsar Hotel and Restaurant Association. The State Government sets taxes which the businessman have to comply, but it's the common man that bears the brunt of it. Any tourist that sets foot in Amritsar is overwhelmed by the burden of taxes. He feels the State Government should develop the infrastructure which would make tourists stay for at least a night in Amritsar.

Jagathram a shopkeeper from Himachal Pradesh says there were no roads, no electricity in his village 10 years back. When the Congress government came into power their lives changed for better. They brought electricity, transformers, water, and even proper roads were built. They never had a school around them but today they have a school that teaches up to 10th grade.
He says, he and his people would never vote for BJP as they feel BJP are fundamentalists. They try and divide the country in the name of religion. His vote will always be with the Congress.
