ഒരു ലക്ഷത്തിനു മുകളില്‍ യാത്രക്കാരുള്ള സ്റ്റേഷനുകളില് മാത്രം എസ്കലേറ്റര്‍ സൗകര്യം നല്കാനൊരുങ്ങി റെയില്‍വേ
25000 ത്തില്‍ അധികം യാത്രക്കാരുള്ള എല്ലാ സ്റ്റേഷനുകളിലും എസ്കലേറ്റര്‍ സൗകാര്യം ഒരുക്കാനായിരുന്നു ആദ്യ തീരുമാനം. എന്നാല്‍ പുതിയ തീരുമാനമാനുസരിച്ച് ഒരു ലക്ഷത്തിലധികം യാത്രക്കാരുള്ള സ്റ്റേഷനുകളില് മാത്രമേ എസ്കലേറ്റര്‍ സൗകര്യം നല്കൂ.എല്ലാ പ്രമുഖ സ്റ്റേഷനുകളിലും ഈ സൗകര്യം നിലവിലുണ്ട്.പുതിയ തീരുമാനം അനുസരിച്ച് വളരെ ചുരുക്കം സ്റ്റേഷനുകളില് മാത്രം എസ്കലേട്ടറുകള്‍ സ്ഥാപിച്ചാല്‍ മതിയാകുംഭിന്നശേഷിക്കാരായ യാത്രക്കരുള്‍പ്പെടെ എല്ലാവര്‍ക്കും സൌകര്യപ്രദമായ രീതിയില്‍ യാത്രാസംവിധാനങ്ങള്‍ ഒരുക്കാന്‍ റെയില്‍വേ തീരുമാനിച്ചതിന്റെ ഭാഗമായിട്ടാണ് എസ്കലേറ്റര്‍ സൗകര്യം യാഥാര്‍ഥ്യമാക്കുന്നത്. ആദ്യഘട്ടത്തില്‍ 8 കോടിക്കും 60 കോടിക്കും ഇടയില്‍ വരുമാനമുള്ള സ്റ്റേഷനുകളില് എസ്കലേറ്റര്‍ സ്ഥാപിക്കാനായിരുന്നു തീരുമാനം.എന്നാല്‍ ഒരു എസ്കലേട്ടറിന് തന്നെ ഒരു കോടി രൂപയോളം നിര്‍മ്മാണത്തിനായി ചെലവ് വരുമെന്നതിനാലാണ് പുതിയ തീരുമാനമെന്ന് സൂചനയുണ്ട്.പ്രധാനമന്ത്രിയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തില്‍ ഏപ്രില്‍ മാസം ചേര്‍ന്ന അവലോകന യോഗത്തില്‍ വന്‍തോതില്‍ ഉള്ള എസ്കലേട്ടറുകളുടെ നിര്‍മ്മാണം ഫലപ്രദമായിരിക്കില്ലെന്നു വിലയിരുത്തിയിരുന്നു.ഇതോടെയാണ് മാനദണ്ഡത്തില്‍ മാറ്റം വരുത്തി പുതിയ തീരുമാനം എടുത്തത്.Subscribe to News60 :https://goo.gl/VnRyuF Read: http://www.news60.in/ https://www.facebook.com/news60ml/

ഗാന്ധിജയന്തി ദിനം സസ്യാഹാരദിനമായി ആചരിക്കും
തീവണ്ടികളിലും സ്റ്റേഷനുകളിലും റെയിൽവേ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളിലുമാണ് സസ്യാഹാരം നല്‍കുക
ഗാന്ധിജയന്തിദിനത്തിൽ തീവണ്ടികളിലും സ്റ്റേഷനുകളിലും റെയിൽവേ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളിലും സസ്യാഹാരം മാത്രം.
സസ്യാഹാരം മാത്രം വിളമ്പാൻ റെയിൽവേ മന്ത്രാലയമാണ് നിർദേശം നല്‍കിയത് . ഗാന്ധിജയന്തി സസ്യാഹാരദിനമായി ആചരിക്കാനാണ് റെയിൽവേയുടെ നിർദേശം. ആദ്യമായാണ് ഇത്തരത്തിൽ ഒരു നിർദേശം റെയിൽവേ സോണൽ മേധാവികൾക്കും തീവണ്ടികളിൽ ഭക്ഷണം നൽകുന്ന ഐ.ആർ.സി.ടി.സി.ക്കും ലഭിക്കുന്നത്. 2018 മുതൽ 2020 വരെയുള്ള മൂന്നു വർഷവും ഗാന്ധിജയന്തിദിനമായ ഒക്ടോബർ രണ്ടിന് ‘സസ്യാഹാര ദിനമായി’ ആചരിക്കാനാണ് വിജ്ഞാപനത്തിൽ പറയുന്നത്.
ഒരാഴ്ച മുമ്പിറങ്ങിയ വിജ്ഞാപനം പല സോണുകളിലും ലഭിച്ചത് കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസമാണ്. അതോടെ പലയിടത്തും പ്രതിഷേധം ഉയരുകയും ചെയ്തു.
മാംസാഹാരം മാത്രം വിളമ്പുന്ന ഒട്ടേറെ സ്റ്റാളുകൾ പല റെയിൽവേ സ്റ്റേഷനുകളിലുമുണ്ട്. നിർദേശം നടപ്പിലാക്കിയാൽ ഒരു ദിവസം ഇവ അടച്ചിടേണ്ട അവസ്ഥയും വരും. ഇവർക്ക് പുറമേ യാത്രക്കാരുടെ ഭാഗത്തുനിന്ന് പ്രതിഷേധമുയരുകയുണ്ടായി. ഇതേത്തുടർന്നാണ് മാംസാഹാരം വിളമ്പാനുള്ള അനുമതി ചിലർക്ക് വാക്കാൽ ലഭിച്ചത്. എന്നാൽ, നേരത്തേ ഇറക്കിയ വിജ്ഞാപനം റദ്ദാക്കാൻ റെയിൽവേ തയ്യാറായിട്ടുമില്ല.

Union Budget 2018: Working to provide WiFi, CCTV Cameras on all trains, Railways stations. Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has begun the presentation of Union Budget 2018 in the Parliament on Thursday. Speaking in the Parliament, FM Jaitley said they are in a process of eliminating unmanned railway crossings. All railway stations having more than 25,000 footfalls will have escalators. They are also working to provide WiFi and CCTV Cameras on all trains and Railways Stations.

700 കോടി രൂപയാണ് ഇതിന് ചിലവ് കണക്കാക്കുന്നത്
കേന്ദ്ര സര്‍ക്കാരിന്റെ ഡിജിറ്റല്‍ ഇന്ത്യ പദ്ധതിയുടെ ഭാഗമായി രാജ്യത്തെ 216 പ്രധാന റെയില്‍വേസ്റ്റേഷനുകളില്‍ റെയില്‍ വേ ഇതിനോടകം വൈഫൈ സൗകര്യം ആരംഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. 70 ലക്ഷം യാത്രക്കാര്‍ക്കാണ് ഇതുവഴി സൗജന്യം വൈഫൈ സേവനം ഉപയോഗിക്കാനുള്ള സൗകര്യം ലഭിച്ചത്.
1,200 സ്റ്റേഷനുകളില് വൈഫൈ സേവനം നല്‍കുന്നത് പ്രധാനമായും ട്രെയിന്‍ യാത്രക്കാര്‍ക്കാണ് പ്രയോജനകരമാവുക. 7,300 സ്റ്റേഷനുകളില് വൈഫൈ ലഭ്യമാക്കുന്നുവഴി യാത്രക്കാര്‍ക്കും അതുപോലെ ഉള്‍നാടുകളിലെ പ്രദേശവാസികള്‍ക്കും പ്രയോജനം ലഭിക്കുമെന്നും പദ്ധതിയില്‍ കണക്കാക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.

22 Covid & non-Covid patients allegedly died following a 'mock oxygen drill' in UP. A viral video purportedly of a hospital owner in Agra has sparked a major controversy. In the video, the man is heard saying that he got oxygen supply from patients snapped for 5 mins. The man, in the video, added that this was part of an experiment to know who all will survive. Reports suggest the video is purportedly of Arinjay Jain, owner of Paras Hospital on NH 2. UP health dept has ordered a probe into the incident after the video went viral.
