    Chana Masala Curry Recipe Hindi | Easy Homemade Chole Recipe Video

    Chana- Chickpeas are really healthy, full of fiber, protein rich and taste so good in a masala curry. Chana Masala curry is easy to make and is a great dish to sere to your guests when they come over for dinner. Here's how you can convert simple chickpeas into exotic curry.

    Ingredients:
    1 cup Chickpeas (Uncooked)
    2 onion for onion paste, 1 onion for the masala
    2 tomatoes
    1 green chilli ( deseeded)
    4-5 cloves of garlic and small piece of ginger
    2 tsp Salt
    1 tsp Turmeric
    1 tsp mango powder
    1 tbsp crushed coriander seeds
    1 cinnamon stick
    1 bay leaf
    3-4 tbsp tomato paste
    5-6 stalks of Cilantro
    4-5 tbsp oil
    1 black cardamom
    1tsp cumin seeds
    1/2 tsp red chilli powder

    Method:
    1. Soak chickpeas in water overnight or atleast an hour.
    2. Discard the water and get your cooker ready.
    3. Make onion paste with ginger, garlic and onions
    4. Heat oil in the cooker
    5. Fry cumin, coriander, cinnamon, bay leaf and black cardamom
    6. Add green chill and onions. Mix in salt, turmeric and red chilli powder.
    7. Mix in tomato puree ( by blending 2 tomatoes with 2 tbsp of water). Cook for 3-4 mins.
    8.Add chick peas, amchur/ mango powder, tomato paste. Mix well.
    9. Add water
    10. Cover the lid and cook for 3-4 whistles ( if chick peas were presoaked), if unsoaked - longer
    11. Once the cooker has cooled down, open the lid and garnish with cilantro leaves. Serve with Coconut Rice.

    Lachha Parathas are yummy and we Punjabis surely love them. Here is one amazing recipe for delicious Punjabi mint flavoured Paranthas which you can enjoy with pickle or Raita.

    Oil/ghee or Butter to cook Paranthas
    Stuffing/Filling:
    Dried Mint Powder
    Optional- Salt and pepper

    Method: Make Lachha parantha as shown in the video by using cone method and flatten it out. Roll it in mint powder and use rolling pin to flatten out the dough. Once the dough is flattened out and thin..cook on a hot skillet with tons of butter/ghee or oil until both sides have brown marks.. Enjoy with pickle, yogurt, chutney or with cup of hot Chai.

    Homemade Bread Recipe | Easy Dates and Nuts Cake Recipe in Hindi

    Dates and Walnut Bread Recipe in Hindi. Friends, I have already posted this recipe in English sometime ago but I have had requests asking to post videos in Hindi so putting up some Hindi Recipe Videos. Let me know your thoughts about the recipe and video. Thank you.

    Ingredients/ Method

    2 cup of Dates
    2 Cups of Water
    2 tbsp butter
    1 to 2 cups of sugar. I used approximately 1.5 cup and it was fine.
    3 cups of flour ( I used whole Wheat flour - 2 cups and 1 cup of all purpose flour)
    2 tsp baking soda
    1 egg
    1-2 tsp cinnamon
    1/2 tsp nutmeg
    100 gm Pecans

    Method:
    Add dates, water, sugar and butter in a saucepan and bring to boil. Add these wet ingredients into dry ingredients ( which includes flour, spices, baking soda). Add egg.     Butter Chicken is delicious and you combine it with fresh homemade fries and you've got a winning dish. Here I share my recipe with you so that you can make it for your friends and family or may be even surprise daddy this Fathers Day with this amazing recipe.

    Ingredients/ Method

    For Fries:
    3-4 Potatoes of choice
    2-3 tbsp oil
    1/2 tsp salt
    Optional : 1/2 tsp Turmeric and 1/2 tsp Paprika or red chilli powder

    300 gms Chicken
    For marinade:
    1/4 cup Yogurt
    1/2 tsp salt
    1 tsp tandoori masala
    1/2 tsp Garlic powder and Paprika

    3-4 tbsp Butter or Desi Ghee
    1 thinly sliced onion
    1 bay leaf, 1 Cinnamon
    3-4 Green Cardamom
    1 tsp cumin and 1/2 tsp Coriander seeds
    4-5 Garlic pods - finely chopped and 2 inch piece ginger
    3-4 fresh tomatoes
    1/2 tsp salt/paprika
    1/2 cup Cream
    1/4 cup water

    Finishing off: 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
    1/2 tsp Dried Fenugreek leaves
    Chopped Cilantro and Green onions

    1 cup Grated Cheese ( I know I skipped on Cheese Curds and went with regular Mozarella and Cheddar Cheese)

    Method:
    Marinade Chicken for an hour in combination of yogurt and spices.
    Wash, peel and thinly slice potatoes and cook them to make fries. I pan fried them but they can also be baked or deep fried. Season them as per your choice. I made golden fries by using some turmeric and red chilli powder. Cook on medium high heat for 7-8 mins.
    Once potatoes are done, set them aside.

    Sooji Halwa is an easy Indian sweet/ Dessert made during festival season or special occasions. Its tasty and simple to make at home. Here's how you can prepare it.
    Ingredients/ Method
    1/2 cup sooji/Semolina (cream of wheat)
    1/2 cup sugar
    4 tbsp ghee or butter
    3 cups water
    Dry fruit for decoration (optional)
    Method:
    Melt Ghee in a pan and gently roast flour. This take approximately 7-8 mins. More the quantity of sooji..longer it takes.
    Mix sugar and water and make a simple syrup. Add syrup into water and cook until sooji is done (3-4 mins)
    Add dry fruit on top and serve.

I love Noodles and here i share with you a very easy and tasty Noodles recipe- I call it Masala Noodle bowl which i think is better than even maggi.

    Ingredients/Method

    1 cup vermicelli
    2-4 tbsp oil
    1/2 tsp hing/ asafoetida
    1 tbsp dried curry leaves
    1 tsp mustard seeds and 1 tsp cumin seeds
    1 tsp chilli powder
    2 tbsp grated ginger
    1 small piece of onion chopped
    Salt per taste
    1 tsp Turmeric ( Haldi)
    1/2 cup peas and 1 cup ribbon Carrot
    1/4 cup Cashews
    2 tbsp lemon juice
    2 tbsp crushed peanuts ( roasted or unroasted)

    Method:
    - Boil vermicelli. Make sure that you put them in hot water. As soon as they are tender, run them under cold water. do not overcook or they will become mushy.
    - Next in a pan, heat oil. When the oil is hot, add asafoetida, unroasted peanuts, mustard seeds and cumin . Give them 30 secs and add ginger and onion. Mix well.
    - Add veggies and salt, chilli powder and Turmeric. Mix and cook until almost done.
    - Add noodles. Mix well. Add lemon juice.
    - Garnish with cashews and enjoy warm.

    Ingredients/Method

    1 cup chickpea flour / Besan
    4 tbsp coconut oil
    3/4 cup dry fruits ( crushed/powdered) and some for garnish
    1/2 cup coconut sugar ( or regular)
    1/2 cup water

    Roast chickpea flour in oil until fragrant and a shade darker. Add sugar and mix well. Add fry fruit ad combine everything. Add water to form a dough. Spread evenly on parchment paper and put in the fridge for 30 mins.
    Cut in desired shape and serve.
