സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ ഹൈവേ പോലീസ് യൂണിറ്റുകളുടെ മൊബൈൽഫോണുകൾ പ്രവർത്തിക്കാതായിട്ട് ഒരാഴ്ചയാകുന്നു

കോൾ ലഭ്യമല്ലെന്നാണ് ഹൈവേ പോലീസിന്റെ ഫോണിൽ വിളിച്ചാൽ കേൾക്കുന്ന മറുപടി. മിക്ക യൂണിറ്റുകളിലും ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരുടെ മൊബൈൽ ഫോണുകളാണ് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്. ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരുമായി അടുത്ത് പരിചയമുള്ളവർക്ക് മാത്രമാണ് ഈ സൗകര്യം ഉപയോഗപ്പെടുത്താനാകുന്നത്. 44 യൂണിറ്റുകൾക്കും ഒരാഴ്ചയായി ഔദ്യോഗിക മൊബൈൽ നമ്പറില്ല.
ദേശീയപാതയും എം.സി. റോഡും ഉൾപ്പെടെ കേരളത്തിലെ പ്രധാന റോഡുകളിൽ അപകടങ്ങളിൽ തുണയാകുന്നത് ഹൈവേ പോലീസാണ്.
വാഹനവും റഡാറും പോലീസ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരും ഉൾപ്പെടെ വൻ സന്നാഹത്തോടെയാണ് ഹൈവേ പോലീസ് നിരത്തിലിറങ്ങുന്നത്. എന്നാൽ, അടിയന്തര സാഹചര്യങ്ങളിൽ വിളിക്കാനുള്ള സൗകര്യമില്ല. ബിൽ ഇനത്തിൽ വലിയ കുടിശ്ശിക വന്നതിനാലാണത്രേ, സേവനദാതാക്കൾ പോലീസിന്റെ ഫോൺ കട്ടാക്കിയത്.ജനുവരി ആദ്യം ഇതേ രീതിയിൽ ഫോണിൽ തടസ്സമുണ്ടായി. അന്ന് പുറത്തേക്കുള്ള വിളിക്ക് മാത്രമായിരുന്നു തടസ്സം. ഫോണിലേക്ക് വിളിക്കാൻ കഴിയുമായിരുന്നതിനാൽ പൊതുജനങ്ങൾക്ക് ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടുണ്ടായില്ല.
