पोलीस बंदोबस्तात कापणार बेकायदेशीर नळ कनेक्शन
औरंगाबाद : महानगरपालिकेने फिडर लाइनवरील अनाधिकृत नळ कनेक्शनविरोधात कारवाईस्त्र उगारले. मात्र शहानूरमियाँ दर्गा येथे कारवाईदरम्यान नागरिकांनी प्रखर विरोध केल्याने कारवाईविना परतावे लागले. या घटनेनंतर कारवाईसाठी पोलीस बंदोबस्त मिळत नसल्याची बाब मनपाने विभागीय आयुक्तांना सांगितली तेव्हा त्यांनी बंदोबस्ताचे निर्देश दिले. यामुळे आता पुढील कारवाईसाठी मागेल तेव्हा बंदोबस्त देण्याची तयारी पोलीस प्रशासनाने दाखविली आहे.
प्रशासक आस्तिककुमार पाण्डेय यांनी पाणीपुरवठा सुरळीत करण्यासाठी कलमी उपाययोजना हाती घेतल्या आहेत. त्यानुसार जलकुंभांना पाणीपुरवठा करणाऱ्या फिडर लाइनवरील अनधिकृत जोडण्या तोडण्यात येत आहे. यासाठी •मनपा मुख्य लेखाधिकारी संतोष वाहुळे यांच्या नेतृत्वात विशेष पथक कार्यरत आहे. शहरातील ३१ जलकुंभावर साधारणपणे १३०० अनधिकृत नळजोडण्या
असल्याचे सर्वेक्षणातून निदर्शनास आले. जून महिन्यापासून सुरू झालेल्या या मोहिमेत आजपर्यंत ३७५ नळजोडण्यांवर कारवाई करण्यात आली. १५ जुलै रोजी कारवाईसाठी शहानूरमियाँ दर्गा परिसरात गेलेल्या मनपा पथकाला येथील नागरिकांनी जोरदार विरोध दर्शविला, त्यामुळे पथक कारवाईविना परतले. ही बाब मनपाने विभागीय आयुक्त सुनील केंद्रेकर यांच्या कानावर टाकली. तेव्हा त्यांनी पोलीस आयुक्त डॉ. निखील गुप्ता यांना अनधिकृत नळांवरील कारवाईसाठी बंदोबस्त देण्याचे निर्देश दिले. पोलीस आयुक्तांनी बंदोबस्त देण्याची सहमती ४२ दर्शविली आहे. त्यामुळे आता मनपाकडून जेव्हा कारवाईचे नियोजन करण्यात येईल तेव्हा बंदोबस्त उपलब्ध होणार आहे. दरम्यान, नागरिकांनी कारवाईला सहकार्य करावे. अनधिकृत नळ कनेक्शन कट केल्यानंतर त्यांना लगेच अधिकृत नळकनेक्शन देता येईल, नागरिकांनी ते कनेक्शन घ्यावेत असे आवाहन पथकप्रमुख संतोष वाहुळे यांनी केले आहे.
