With the hybrid model as the future of workplaces, people would continue to work from home on some days of the week. In the last fifteen months we have seen organisations across the world see themselves shrink into a screen. Virtual existence and work from home became a way of life as workers embraced the new normal despite several glitches. The future of a hybrid modern workplace depends on how companies can also create a more connected distributed workforce. The world has shifted towards a more distributed workforce, and with recent global events, hybrid work is here to stay. Users now expect to connect from anywhere and on any device, while security teams have the same complex, piecemeal and time-consuming solutions. It is time to rethink security.



The idea is to focus on basic safety protocols, cleanliness, routine sanitisation, and adjusting space density to maintain distance. With agility, innovation, and quick response to customer needs being the strengths, a flexible workspace is an achievable concept for the organizations. On these lines, employees of bigger corporations are now expecting the adoption of similar restructuring. Change is always constant and it is inevitable. However, this pandemic has made us realise that we are capable of change; enabling remote workforces, adapting to changing customer behaviours or even reviewing and changing entire business models, we have seen it all in the last year. Technology is the common denominator here, and it is now more influential than ever. The digital economy triggered by the pandemic promises to bring in an unprecedented confluence of people, businesses, and things that reconstruct existing business models.

  • Hybrid workplace enhancing Hybrid selling

    A report from #Linkedin on State of Sales APAC 2022 says that the rising #remotework culture has accelerated the proliferation of sales technology. The pandemic disrupted the sales process permanently and positively, with 81% of buyers in India agreeing that working remotely is making buying easier.


    There is a continued rise of sales technology and data-driven selling. In today’s predominantly digital era, 4 in 5 (81%) buyers in India feel that remote work has made buying easier today. Sellers too have felt this pull, with every 1 in 5 (22%) clocking deals worth $500,000 or above without ever meeting the buyer in-person.

    With the number of sales professionals without any remote work experience dropping to one-fourth during the pandemic, it is evident that remote working is here to stay. Top performers are thriving due to their intelligent use of technology and data-driven selling.

    The survey indicates younger sales professionals are placing a higher emphasis on soft skills, so they can develop closer relationships with their buyers or clients and close better deals. The survey also reveals that the ability to build trust is the most important factor for closing deals among younger (under 35 years) sales professionals (21%), as compared to older (over 35 years) professionals who prioritise metrics like ROI (16%) and price (17%).

    Companies are increasing their appetite for data-based insights to better gauge buyer intent and drive greater sales. This is especially true amidst the ongoing Great Reshuffle when buyers and sellers are constantly considering shifting roles. In fact, more than 8 in 10 (84%) sales professionals in India have lost at least one deal to an important decision maker changing roles in the past year alone.

    Therefore, access to the right intel has become mission-critical for sales functions across the board. The report further reveals that top performers are also more likely to leverage these insight

    A study by Citrix Systems shows hybrid work is here to stay and in this new world of work, delivering a unified, secure, and simplified work experience will be key to success. Many companies viewed remote work as a short-term solution to the pandemic, they now recognize it must be part of their permanent workforce and cost management strategies. When asked how they would prefer to work post-pandemic 52% of respondents said they want a hybrid model where they can choose to work remotely or from the office each day; 16% indicated they have no interest in returning to the office and would prefer a permanently remote role; 45% noted that if they were to change jobs, they would only accept a role which offered flexible and remote work options; and nearly 75% said they would likely consider relocating to a different city if they could perform their role to the same level without commuting to a place of work.


    With a lack of boundaries between their work and personal lives and no commute to manage, two-thirds of employees polled say they are working the same or more hours. And while they remain productive, many are struggling to do so. The study found that 41% of employees cited distractions in their home environment, 28% say they lack appropriate technologies and applications to get work done and 36% feel isolated and out of touch with colleagues. As many companies have learned through the pandemic, digital workspaces are an efficient and effective way to do this, as they: (i) Unify work – whether at home, on plane or in an office, employees have consistent and reliable access to all the resources they need to be productive across any work channel, device or location; (ii) Secure work – contextual access and app security, ensure applications and information remain secure – no matter where work happens and (iii) Simplify work – Intelligence capabilities like machine learning, virtual assistan

A report says, Infrastructure-as-a-Service, offers the businesses and consumers, a virtual server and storage API’s that facilitates them to alleviate workload to a Virtual Machine (VM). It renders infrastructural components to businesses such as servers, storage, and networking hardware, as the visualization or hypervisor layer, thus enabling them to function with the inbuilt support.

This has significantly raised the demand for computation of this data at the edge. It is an absolute fact that, Edge Data Centers are bringing significant benefits by reducing latency. With these innovations, there is a parallel evolution in the data center environment. From on-premise data center to cloud to the new entrant edge; data centers are growing more sophisticated with each passing day to keep up with the dynamic business world.



    The four types of data centres we see are On-premise Data Centers, Colocation Data Centers, Hyperscale Data Centers and Edge Data Centers. On-premise data centers reduce latency as they are stored within the company location, thereby ensuring higher level of data security. However, they are not cost-efficient solutions as they involve higher cost for maintenance, security, and regular repairs. Whereas, Colocation Data Centers bring cost-effective methods of housing data centers as the companies need not worry about its maintenance, security, and repair. However, Hyperscale data centers are large and can house thousands or millions of data center servers. These data centers are meant to be scaled, which can be done by increasing the power of the system or adding more data center racks and equipment. Companies with large amounts of data can benefit from the scalability of hyperscale data centers. As technology is getting advanced, many are preferring to go for Edge data centers which are smaller facilities located close to the edge of the end-user network.
