Pradeep Kumar hails from Nalanda District, Bihar. He is a third year law student with the Delhi University.
Pradeep says that all the government schemes should be implemented at the ground level where people can see how much work is being done. He feels if there are well educated and well qualified teachers in the villages it would add to the effort to provide better education to all. He believes if one doesn't look at the policies and schemes at the grass root level then one will never know if they are working or not.

Shamshuddin Ansari is a gold medal wrestling champion in 1974, from Uttar Pradesh. That got him a job in the railways with the salary of Rs. 400. But his love for weaving made him quit his secure job and join his family business of weaving sarees.
He faced a lot of hardship doing what he loved. He says "Since the year 2000 the government was not very supportive of artisans." Because of which his work started to collapse. From making 25 sarees they were down to making only 5. He used borrow money just to make ends meet. He says " It became difficult to educate our children or even feed the family."
Then things started to change, he started getting support from the government. Looms, silk, yarn, thread they got everything at subsidized rates and his work picked up again. Now he lives a comfortable life. He goes on to say " Due to the subsidy the government provides the price of silk thread has gone down." Like a proud father he tells how his son under his guidance has also won a national award for a benarasi saree.
The Congress led UPA Government announced "Revival, Reform and Restructuring Package for Handloom Sector" of rs. 3884 crore.

His produce goes to various places like Dhemaji, Jorhat, Dibrugarh and Tinsukia. Lastly he advises the unemployed educated youth of Assam, " Instead of running after jobs in vain, take up farming". They would be able to make a fine living.
