സി.പി.എം. ലോക്കൽ കമ്മിറ്റി അംഗമായ പീതാംബരൻ അറസ്റ്റിലായെങ്കിലും ആസൂത്രിതമായി ഇത്തരം കൊലയ്ക്ക് നേതൃത്വം നൽകാൻ അയാൾക്ക് കഴിയില്ലെന്നാണ് പറയപ്പെടുന്നത്. പാർട്ടിയുടെ അറിവോടെയല്ലാതെ ഇത്തരം കൊലപാതകം നടത്താനാവില്ലെന്ന് പീതാംബരന്റെ കുടുംബം .കൊലനടന്ന സ്ഥലം, സമയം, കൊലപാതകത്തിന്റെ രീതി, വെട്ടിന്റെ പ്രത്യേകത, പ്രതികളെത്തിയ വാഹനം എന്നിവയൊക്കെ, പ്രത്യേകസംഘത്തെ കൊലയ്ക്ക് ഉപയോഗിച്ചെന്ന സംശയം ബലപ്പെടുത്തുന്നുndu. കഴിഞ്ഞവർഷം കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ട യൂത്ത് കോൺഗ്രസ് നേതാവ് ഷുഹൈബിന്റെ ശരീരത്തിലും ഒട്ടേറെ വെട്ടേറ്റിരുന്നു.സംഘർഷത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി യാദൃച്ഛികമായി നടക്കുന്ന കൊലകളല്ല .
പാർട്ടികളുടെ അറിവോടെ പ്രവർത്തകരോ പാർട്ടിനിയോഗിച്ച സംഘങ്ങളോ പണം നൽകിയുള്ള ക്വട്ടേഷൻസംഘങ്ങളോ നടത്തുന്ന കൊലപാതകങ്ങളായിരുന്നു . വ്യാജപ്രതികളെ പോലീസിന് കൊടുക്കുകയും കേസ് തെളിവില്ലാതെ തള്ളിപ്പോവാനിടയാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും. വട്ടിപ്പലിശ ഗുണ്ടാസംഘങ്ങൾ, മദ്യക്കടത്തുകാർ, കോഴിക്കടത്തുകാർ തുടങ്ങിയ സംഘങ്ങളെ പലപ്പോഴും രാഷ്ട്രീയക്കാർ പണംനൽകി ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നതായി പോലീസ് കണ്ടെത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഭീഷണിയാവുന്ന എതിരാളികളുടെ കാൽ തകർക്കലായിരുന്നു ഇവരുടെ രീതി. അക്രമത്തിനിടെ അബദ്ധത്തിൽ ഒരാൾ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ട കേസുമുണ്ടായി. അക്കാലത്ത് ഒട്ടേറെപ്പേർക്ക് പരിശീലനം ലഭിച്ചു. കണ്ണൂരിൽ കളരിയുടെ മറവിൽ പലസ്ഥലത്തും കൊലയാളികൾക്ക് പരിശീലനംനൽകി. ചില സംഘങ്ങൾ കാസർേകാട്. കോഴിക്കോട്, തൃശ്ശൂർ തുടങ്ങിയ ജില്ലകളിലേക്കും അക്രമം നടത്താനായി പോയിരുന്നു. കണ്ണൂരിൽത്തന്നെ എതിരാളികളെ തട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുവന്ന് പ്രത്യേക കേന്ദ്രത്തിലിട്ട് ഭീകരമായി മർദിച്ചിരുന്നു.അവർക്കായി ഫണ്ട് ശേഖരണം, ബന്ധുക്കൾക്ക് ജോലി, ജയിലിൽ പ്രത്യേക സൗകര്യം എന്നിവ രാഷ്ട്രീയകക്ഷികൾ .തുടക്കത്തിൽ പ്രതികളെ തള്ളിപ്പറഞ്ഞാലും പിന്നീട് അവർ ആരുമറിയാതെ സംരക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടും

സി.പി.എം. ലോക്കൽ കമ്മിറ്റി അംഗമായ പീതാംബരൻ അറസ്റ്റിലായെങ്കിലും ആസൂത്രിതമായി ഇത്തരം കൊലയ്ക്ക് നേതൃത്വം നൽകാൻ അയാൾക്ക് കഴിയില്ലെന്നാണ് പറയപ്പെടുന്നത്. പാർട്ടിയുടെ അറിവോടെയല്ലാതെ ഇത്തരം കൊലപാതകം നടത്താനാവില്ലെന്ന് പീതാംബരന്റെ കുടുംബം .കൊലനടന്ന സ്ഥലം, സമയം, കൊലപാതകത്തിന്റെ രീതി, വെട്ടിന്റെ പ്രത്യേകത, പ്രതികളെത്തിയ വാഹനം എന്നിവയൊക്കെ, പ്രത്യേകസംഘത്തെ കൊലയ്ക്ക് ഉപയോഗിച്ചെന്ന സംശയം ബലപ്പെടുത്തുന്നുndu. കഴിഞ്ഞവർഷം കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ട യൂത്ത് കോൺഗ്രസ് നേതാവ് ഷുഹൈബിന്റെ ശരീരത്തിലും ഒട്ടേറെ വെട്ടേറ്റിരുന്നു.സംഘർഷത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി യാദൃച്ഛികമായി നടക്കുന്ന കൊലകളല്ല .
പാർട്ടികളുടെ അറിവോടെ പ്രവർത്തകരോ പാർട്ടിനിയോഗിച്ച സംഘങ്ങളോ പണം നൽകിയുള്ള ക്വട്ടേഷൻസംഘങ്ങളോ നടത്തുന്ന കൊലപാതകങ്ങളായിരുന്നു . വ്യാജപ്രതികളെ പോലീസിന് കൊടുക്കുകയും കേസ് തെളിവില്ലാതെ തള്ളിപ്പോവാനിടയാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും. വട്ടിപ്പലിശ ഗുണ്ടാസംഘങ്ങൾ, മദ്യക്കടത്തുകാർ, കോഴിക്കടത്തുകാർ തുടങ്ങിയ സംഘങ്ങളെ പലപ്പോഴും രാഷ്ട്രീയക്കാർ പണംനൽകി ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നതായി പോലീസ് കണ്ടെത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഭീഷണിയാവുന്ന എതിരാളികളുടെ കാൽ തകർക്കലായിരുന്നു ഇവരുടെ രീതി. അക്രമത്തിനിടെ അബദ്ധത്തിൽ ഒരാൾ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ട കേസുമുണ്ടായി. അക്കാലത്ത് ഒട്ടേറെപ്പേർക്ക് പരിശീലനം ലഭിച്ചു. കണ്ണൂരിൽ കളരിയുടെ മറവിൽ പലസ്ഥലത്തും കൊലയാളികൾക്ക് പരിശീലനംനൽകി. ചില സംഘങ്ങൾ കാസർേകാട്. കോഴിക്കോട്, തൃശ്ശൂർ തുടങ്ങിയ ജില്ലകളിലേക്കും അക്രമം നടത്താനായി പോയിരുന്നു. കണ്ണൂരിൽത്തന്നെ എതിരാളികളെ തട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുവന്ന് പ്രത്യേക കേന്ദ്രത്തിലിട്ട് ഭീകരമായി മർദിച്ചിരുന്നു.അവർക്കായി ഫണ്ട് ശേഖരണം, ബന്ധുക്കൾക്ക് ജോലി, ജയിലിൽ പ്രത്യേക സൗകര്യം എന്നിവ രാഷ്ട്രീയകക്ഷികൾ .തുടക്കത്തിൽ പ്രതികളെ തള്ളിപ്പറഞ്ഞാലും പിന്നീട് അവർ ആരുമറിയാതെ സംരക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടും
