कांग्रेस पार्टी ने राहुल गांधी की सुरक्षा पर गंभीर चिंता जताई है। गृह मंत्रालय को लिखे पत्र में कांग्रेस ने अमेठी में राहुल गांधी की जान को खतरा बताया है। पत्र में कहा गया है कि अमेठी में बुधवार के रोड शो के दौरान राहुल गांधी पर सात बार लेजर बीम नजर आई थी और ये लाइट शायद स्नाइपर राइफल की थी। कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष ने बुधवार को अमेठी सीट से अपना नामांकन दाखिल करने से पहले रोड शो किया था
