സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ വൈദ്യുതി ഉപയോഗം കൂടിയതോടെ സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് വൈദ്യുതി നിയന്ത്രണം കൊണ്ടുവരുമെന്നാണ് സൂചന. ചൂട് കനത്തതോടെ സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ വൈദ്യുതി ഉപയോഗം റെക്കോര്‍ഡ് വേഗത്തില്‍ കുതിക്കുകയാണ്. ഉപയോഗം കൂടിയതോടെ സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് വൈദ്യുതി നിയന്ത്രണം കൊണ്ടുവരുമെന്നാണ് സൂചന. പുറത്ത് നിന്ന് വാങ്ങുന്ന അധിക വൈദ്യുതിക്ക് കര്‍ശന നിയന്ത്രണമേര്‍പ്പെടുത്തിയത് ലോഡ് ഷെഡ്ഡിങ്ങിന് വഴിതെളിക്കും. ചൂട് വര്‍ധിച്ചതോടെ കൂടുതല്‍ പേര്‍ എയര്‍കണ്ടീഷണറുകളിലേക്ക് മാറിയതും വൈദ്യുതി ഉപയോഗം കൂടാന്‍ കാരണമായിട്ടുണ്ട്. രാത്രികാലങ്ങളില്‍ വൈദ്യുതി ഉപയോഗം കൂടുതലാണ്.
ലോഡ്ഷെഡ്ഡിങ്ങ് ഒഴിവാക്കാന്‍ സ്വകാര്യ കമ്പനികളില്‍ നിന്ന് വന്‍ തുകയ്ക്കാണ് കെഎസ്ഇബി വൈദ്യുതി വാങ്ങുന്നത്.
ഇത്ര ഉയര്‍ന്ന തുകയ്ക്ക് വൈദ്യുതി വാങ്ങി എത്രത്തോളം മുന്നോട്ട് പോകും എന്നതാണ് നിലവിലെ സാഹചര്യത്തില്‍ കെഎസ്ഇബിക്ക് മുന്‍പിലെ വെല്ലുവിളി. പ്രതിദിനം വേണ്ട വൈദ്യുതിയുടെ അളവ് തലേദിവസം ബെംഗളൂരിലെ സതേണ്‍ റീജണല്‍ ലോഡ് ഡെസ്പാച്ച് സെന്‍ററില്‍(എസ്ആര്‍എല്‍ഡിസി) അറിയിക്കണം. ഇതിന്‍റെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിലാണ് ദേശീയ ഗ്രിഡില്‍ നിന്ന് വൈദ്യുതി ലഭിക്കുക. ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടതിലും കൂടുതല്‍ വൈദ്യുതി വേണ്ടി വന്നാല്‍ പരമാവധി 150 മെഗാവാട്ട് വരെ അധികം ഉപയോഗിക്കാം. എന്നാല്‍ ഇത്തരത്തില്‍ ഒന്നരമണിക്കൂര്‍ ഉപയോഗിച്ചാല്‍ വൈദ്യുതി ലഭിക്കാതെയാവുന്ന അവസ്ഥയാണ് നിലവിലുള്ളത്.
ഈ നിയന്ത്രണം മറികടന്നാല്‍ പിഴ അടയ്ക്കേണ്ടി വരും.
വേനല്‍ കടുത്തതോടെ ദക്ഷിണേന്ത്യന്‍ സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളില്‍ വൈദ്യുതി ഉപയോഗം കൂടിയതാണ് നിയന്ത്രണത്തിന് കാരണമായത്. ഇത്തവണ പകല്‍ സമയം പരമാവധി വൈദ്യുതി ഉപയോഗം 3352 മെഗാവാട്ടും രാത്രി 4311 മെഗാവാട്ടുമാണ്. കഴിഞ്ഞ വര്‍ഷം ഇത് പകല്‍ 2800ഉം രാത്രി 4,011 മെഗാവാട്ടും വീതമായിരുന്നു.
