आजमगढ़ शहर के मध्य स्थित वेस्ल इंटर कॉलेज के मैदान में फूड डे मेले का आयोजन किया गया जिसमें मोटे अनाज से बने व्यंजनों से संबंधित ना केवल स्टाल लगाए गए थे बल्कि लोगों की इसके महत्व के बारे में जानकारी भी दी गई। मेले का शुभारंभ आजमगढ़ के मंडलायुक्त मनीष चौहान ने किया। इस दौरान डीएम विशाल भारद्वाज, एसपी अनुराग आर्य, एडीएम प्रशासन अनिल कुमार मिश्रा समेत कृषि विभाग के तमाम अधिकारी गण मौजूद रहे। कृषि विभाग की तारीफ से आयोजित इस कार्यक्रम में बतौर मुख्य अतिथि मनीष चौहान ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री के अनुरोध पर संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघ की तरफ से वर्ष 2023 को मिलेट वर्ष के रूप में घोषित किया गया है। आज मोटे अनाज का महत्व काफी बढ़ गया है। मोटे अनाज में जैसे ज्वार बाजरा रागी कोदो सांवा जैसे तमाम फसल है। जो मानव जीवन के स्वास्थ्य के लिए बहुत महत्वपूर्ण स्थान रखते हैं और कई वर्षों पहले इनका काफी प्रचलन था लेकिन 1960 के बाद से गेहूं और चावल को मुख्य भोजन में शामिल करने के बाद मोटे अनाज का महत्व काफी घट गया था। जिससे लोगों को कई नई बीमारियां जैसे डायबिटीज ब्लडप्रेशर जैसे रोगों से जूझना पड़ रहा है। मोटे अनाज को श्री अन्न नाम भी दिया गया है। इनसे काफी स्वादिष्ट भोजन व अन्य खाद्य पदार्थ बन सकते हैं। इसके लिए मिलेट सुपर डाइट का काम कर सकते हैं। इसमें फाइबर, फास्फोरस, आयरन, कैल्शियम, जैसे तमाम महत्वपूर्ण तत्व पाए जाते हैं और कार्बोहाइड्रेट की मात्रा काफी कम होती है। अधिकारियों ने सभी स्टॉल पर जाकर वहां पर मिल रहे पदार्थों के बारे में जानकारी भी हासिल की। स्टॉल शहर के तमाम मिठाई की दुकानों व रेस्टोरेंट व होटल कारोबारियों की तरफ से लगाए गए थे।

आजमगढ़ शहर के मध्य स्थित वेस्ल इंटर कॉलेज के मैदान में फूड डे मेले का आयोजन किया गया जिसमें मोटे अनाज से बने व्यंजनों से संबंधित ना केवल स्टाल लगाए गए थे बल्कि लोगों की इसके महत्व के बारे में जानकारी भी दी गई। मेले का शुभारंभ आजमगढ़ के मंडलायुक्त मनीष चौहान ने किया। इस दौरान डीएम विशाल भारद्वाज, एसपी अनुराग आर्य, एडीएम प्रशासन अनिल कुमार मिश्रा समेत कृषि विभाग के तमाम अधिकारी गण मौजूद रहे। कृषि विभाग की तारीफ से आयोजित इस कार्यक्रम में बतौर मुख्य अतिथि मनीष चौहान ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री के अनुरोध पर संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघ की तरफ से वर्ष 2023 को मिलेट वर्ष के रूप में घोषित किया गया है। आज मोटे अनाज का महत्व काफी बढ़ गया है। मोटे अनाज में जैसे ज्वार बाजरा रागी कोदो सांवा जैसे तमाम फसल है। जो मानव जीवन के स्वास्थ्य के लिए बहुत महत्वपूर्ण स्थान रखते हैं और कई वर्षों पहले इनका काफी प्रचलन था लेकिन 1960 के बाद से गेहूं और चावल को मुख्य भोजन में शामिल करने के बाद मोटे अनाज का महत्व काफी घट गया था। जिससे लोगों को कई नई बीमारियां जैसे डायबिटीज ब्लडप्रेशर जैसे रोगों से जूझना पड़ रहा है। मोटे अनाज को श्री अन्न नाम भी दिया गया है। इनसे काफी स्वादिष्ट भोजन व अन्य खाद्य पदार्थ बन सकते हैं। इसके लिए मिलेट सुपर डाइट का काम कर सकते हैं। इसमें फाइबर, फास्फोरस, आयरन, कैल्शियम, जैसे तमाम महत्वपूर्ण तत्व पाए जाते हैं और कार्बोहाइड्रेट की मात्रा काफी कम होती है। अधिकारियों ने सभी स्टॉल पर जाकर वहां पर मिल रहे पदार्थों के बारे में जानकारी भी हासिल की। स्टॉल शहर के तमाम मिठाई की दुकानों व रेस्टोरेंट व होटल कारोबारियों की तरफ से लगाए गए थे।
