प्रदेश सरकार अफोर्डेबल रेंटल हाउसिंग कॉम्प्लेक्स योजना के तहत विभिन्न योजनाओं में वर्षों से खाली पड़े 24,713 छोटे मकानों को किराए पर देगी। योजना का लाभ गरीब और अल्प आय वर्ग के लोगों को मिलेगा।
दरअसल, सभी शहरों में छोटे-मोटे काम करने वाले खासकर फैक्ट्रियों के मजदूरों, छात्रों या फिर दूसरे जिलों से कुछ महीनों के लिए आकर काम करने वालों के लिए आवास की सबसे बड़ी समस्या रहती है। ऐसे लोग होटल या अन्य आवासीय ठिकानों को किराए पर लेने में असमर्थ होते हैं। इसलिए प्रधानमंत्री आवास योजना (शहरी) के तहत यह योजना शुरू की गई थी। इसके तहत पहले नए मकान बनवाकर देना था, लेकिन जमीनों की कमी और विभिन्न योजनाओं में खाली पड़े मकानों को देखते हुए यह फैसला लिया गया है।
निदेशक स्थानीय निकाय नेहा शर्मा ने सभी निकायों को पत्र भेजकर विभिन्न योजनाओं के खाली पड़े मकानों का ब्योरा मांगा है। इसमें कहा गया है कि इन मकानों को पुन: संयोजन (रिट्रोफिट) कराते हुए 25 साल के लिए स्थानीय स्तर पर तय किराये पर दिया जाएगा। प्राइम लोकेशन वाले मकानों का किराया अधिक, जबकि दूर-दराज वाले क्षेत्रों का किराया कम होगा। इनमें यूपी वालों को प्राथमिकता दी जाएगी। पुलिस सत्यापन के बाद अन्य प्रक्रिया पूरी की जाएगी।

यहां तक कि जब अवाम का दर्द सरकार सुनना ही न चाहे तो किससे रोए, किसे जनता अपनी पीड़ा सुनाए?
