CII Webinar on Significance of Organ Donation
Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has taken up the agenda of creating awareness on health related issues in India, The need for Organ Donation is huge despite the number of transplants, there are still not enough donor organs to fill the needs of those who require them. Donating organs is a great deed, which can be termed as donating life to others. It is estimated that in India, every year, over 1,00,000 people are diagnosed to have kidney failure and would need transplantation. Due to non-availability of organs, only about 2,500 kidney transplants are done. Statistics are similar for eye and other organ donations as well. Identifying the urgent need for increased public awareness regarding organ donation and to mobilise greater efforts to dispel public concerns regarding the same, CII is organizing a webinar on Significance of Organ Donation.

മസ്തിഷ്ക മരണം സംഭവിച്ചാലും രക്ഷപെടുമെന്ന തരത്തിൽ സമൂഹ മാധ്യമങ്ങളിൽ പ്രചരണം നടന്നതും അവയവദാനത്തെ ബാധിച്ചതായി കരുതുന്നു
സര്‍ക്കാരിന്റെ മൃതസഞ്ജീവനി പദ്ധതി വഴിമുട്ടി നില്‍ക്കുകയാണ് . 2016ല്‍ 76 പേര്‍ അവയവദാനം നല്‍കിയപ്പോള്‍ 2018ല്‍ വെറും 4പേരാണ് നല്‍കിയിരിക്കുന്നതെന്ന് കണക്കുകള്‍ .കേരളത്തിൽ ഓരോ വർഷവും അപകടത്തിൽ മരിക്കുന്നത് ശരാശരി നാലായിരത്തിലേറെ പേരാണ്. ∙ 7.5 ലക്ഷം പേർ സമ്മതപത്രം ഒപ്പിട്ടു നൽകിയിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കിലും മരണാനന്തര അവയവദാനം യാഥാർഥ്യമാകുന്നില്ല. സമ്മതപത്രം ഒപ്പിട്ടു നൽകുന്നത് ബന്ധുക്കളുടെ അറിവോടെയല്ല എന്നതാണ് ഇതിന്റെ പ്രധാന കാരണമായി ചൂണ്ടിക്കാണിക്കുന്നത് മസ്തിഷ്ക മരണം സംഭവിച്ചാലും രക്ഷപെടുമെന്ന തരത്തിൽ സമൂഹ മാധ്യമങ്ങളിൽ പ്രചരണം നടന്നതും അവയവദാനത്തെ ബാധിച്ചതായി കരുതുന്നു.
അവയവ കച്ചവടത്തെ കുറിച്ചുള്ള പരാതികള്‍ ഉയര്‍ന്ന സാഹചര്യത്തില്‍ സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രിയിലാണെങ്കിലും മുതിർന്ന സർക്കാർ ഡോക്ടർ പരിശോധിച്ച് ഉറപ്പുവരുത്തിയ ശേഷമേ മസ്തിഷ്ക മരണം സ്ഥിരീകരിക്കാവൂ എന്ന നിർദേശം സർക്കാർ കഴിഞ്ഞവർഷം കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.. എന്നാൽ നിർണായക സമയങ്ങളിൽ സർക്കാർ ഡോക്ടർമാരെ കിട്ടാതെ വന്നതു മൂലം അവയവദാന ശസ്ത്രക്രിയ മുടങ്ങിയ സംഭവങ്ങളുണ്ട്. അതേസമയം
സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് വൃക്ക രോഗികളുടെ എണ്ണം വൻതോതിൽ വർധിക്കുകയാണ്. വൃക്ക മാറ്റിവയ്ക്കാൻ മൃതസഞ്ജീവനിയിൽ അപേക്ഷ നൽകി കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നത് 1739 രോഗികളാണ്. കരളിനായി 353 പേരും ഹൃദയത്തിനായി 33 പേരും ശ്വാസകോശത്തിനായി 3 പേരും കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു. അവയവദാനം കാത്തിരുന്ന 650 രോഗികൾ ഇതിനകം മരിച്ചു എന്നും റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടുകള്‍ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തുന്നുBy News60 ML| 3519 views
