the story of indian indepedence is really very interesting. it is said that lord mountbatten was sent to give independence to india and he has time of 30 june,1948 to fulfil all the formalities. but the condition of the country was getting worse day by day. so, c.r.rajgopalachari adviced him to finish the formalities as soon as possible. Mountbatten remebered the date of japan's surrender was 15th august. he believed that it is a lacky date because on that perticular date the peace of the world was established. so he decided to give independence to india on that same date and it was 15th august,1947.
