ദില്ലി അടക്കമുള്ള ഉത്തരേന്ത്യന്‍ സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളെ ഭീതിയിലാഴ്ത്തിയിരിക്കുകയാണ് മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് . ഇത് മൂന്നാം തവണയാണ് ഗവേഷകര്‍ മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് നല്‍കുന്നത്. 8.5 തീവ്രതയുളള ഭൂകമ്ബം ഉണ്ടാകുമെന്നാണ് കണക്ക് കൂട്ടല്‍. ബെംഗലുരുവിലെ ജവഹര്‍ലാല്‍ നെഹ്റു സെന്റര്‍ ഫോര്‍ അഡ്വാന്‍സ്‌ഡ് സയന്റിഫിക് റിസര്‍ച്ചിലെ ശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞരുടേതാണ് പഠനം. ശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞനായ സി.പി രാജേന്ദ്രെൻറ നേതൃത്വത്തിലുള്ള സംഘമാണ് പഠനം നടത്തിയത്. ഇതിനു മുൻപ് പതിനാലോ പതിനഞ്ചോ നൂറ്റാണ്ടുകളിൽ ഇത്തരത്തിൽ ഭൂകമ്പം ഉണ്ടായതായും പഠനത്തിൽ വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നു
1315നും 1440നും ഇടയിൽ 8.5 തീവ്രവത രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയ ഭൂകമ്പം ഹിമാലയൻ മേഖലയിലുണ്ടായിട്ടുണ്ട്. സമാനമായ സ്ഥിതിയായിരിക്കും ആവർത്തിക്കുക. എന്നാൽ, ഇപ്പോൾ ഹിമാലയൻ മേഖലയിലെ ജനസംഖ്യയും നിർമാണ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളും വർധിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഇത് സ്ഥിതി കൂടുതൽ രൂക്ഷമാകും. ഇന്ത്യൻ ഗവേഷകരുടെ കണ്ടെത്തലുകളെ അമേരിക്കയിലെ കൊളറാഡോ സർവകലാശാലയിലെ ശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞനായ റോജർ ബിൽഹാം പിന്തുണക്കുന്നു.ഇത്തരത്തിൽ തീവ്രതയേറിയ ഭൂചലനം ഉണ്ടായതിനെ പറ്റി ഭൗമശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞനായ സി പി രാജേന്ദ്രന്‍ന്റെ പഠനത്തിൽ പറയുന്നു. അന്ന് 600 കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ ചുറ്റളവിലാണ് ഭൂചലനത്തിന്റെ അഘാതം ഉണ്ടായത്. ദില്ലി,ലഖ്നൗ വരെ അന്നത്തെ ഭൂകമ്ബത്തിന്റെ പരിധിയില്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പെട്ടിരുന്നതായും അദ്ദേഹം വ്യക്തമാക്കി. ഭാവിയിൽ മധ്യഹിമാലയനിരകളിൽ റിക്ടർസ‌്കെയിലിൽ 8.5 തീവ്രത വരെയുള്ള ഭൂകമ്പം ഉണ്ടാകുണ്ടെന്നാണ് റിപ്പോർട്ട‌്. ഇതുമൂലം പർവതമേഖലക്ക്15 മീറ്റർ സ്ഥാനഭ്രംശമുണ്ടാകുമെന്നും പറയുന്നു.
ഉത്തരാഖണ്ഡ് മുതല്‍ നേപ്പാളിന്റെ പടിഞ്ഞാറ് ഭാഗം വരെയുള്ള ഹിമാലയന്‍ മേഖലയില്‍ എപ്പോള്‍ വേണമെങ്കിലും ഭൂകമ്ബമുണ്ടാകാന്‍ സാധ്യയുണ്ടെന്നാണ് ശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞരുടെ അനുമാനം. ഉത്തരാഖണ്ഡില്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞ ഏതാനും ദിവസങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് മുമ്ബ് നേരിയ ഭൂകമ്ബം അനുഭവപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു. 2001 ല്‍ റിക്ടര്‍ സ്കെയിലില്‍ 7.7 തീവ്രത രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയ ഭൂകമ്ബത്തില്‍ ഗുജറാത്തില്‍ 13,000ഒാളം പേര്‍ മരണപ്പെട്ടുവെന്നും 2015 ല്‍ 8.1 തീവ്രത രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയ ഭൂകമ്ബത്തില്‍ നേപ്പാളില്‍ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടത് 9000 പേരാണെന്നും കണക്കുകള്‍ വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നുBy News60 ML| 62 views
