    വിത്ത് പാകാൻ പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക് കൂടിനു പകരം മുളങ്കുറ്റിയുമായി പരിസ്ഥിതി പ്രവർത്തകർ. പുതിയ രീതി അവതരിപ്പിക്കുന്നത് സംസ്ഥാന വനംവന്യജീവി ബോർഡംഗം കെ. ബിനുവിന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലുള്ള പരിസ്ഥിതി പ്രവർത്തകർ. ഒന്നരക്കോടി പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക് കൂടുകളാണ് വിത്തുപാകാൻ സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് വനംവകുപ്പും സ്വകാര്യനഴ്‌സറികളും ഒരു വർഷം ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്. ഇത്രയും പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക് മണ്ണിലേക്കെത്തുന്നത് തടയുന്നതിനാണ് മുളങ്കുറ്റി പരീക്ഷണം. അടുത്ത മഴക്കാലത്ത് മുളങ്കുറ്റികളിൽ മണ്ണ് നിറച്ച് പാകി കിളിർപ്പിച്ച തൈകളാകും തങ്ങൾ വിതരണം ചെയ്യുകയെന്ന് സംഘാടകർ പറഞ്ഞു.വൃക്ഷ പരിസ്ഥിതി സംരക്ഷണസമിതിയും ഒയിസ്‌കാ ഇന്റർനാഷണലും സംയുക്തമായാണ് പുതിയരീതി പരീക്ഷിക്കുന്നത്. പച്ചമുളയും മഞ്ഞമുളയും വിത്ത് കിളിർപ്പിക്കുന്നതിന് ഉപയോഗിക്കാം. ഒരുമുളയിൽനിന്ന് അൻപതിലേറെ മുളങ്കുറ്റികൾ ലഭിക്കും. രണ്ട് മുളമുട്ടുകൾ തമ്മിലുള്ള അകലം 25 മുതൽ 32 സെന്റീമീറ്റർ വരെ ഉള്ളതിനാൽ തൈകൾക്ക് രണ്ട് വർഷത്തോളം ഇതിൽതന്നെ വളരാൻ കഴിയും. കുഴിയെടുത്ത് കുറ്റിയോടെ ഇറക്കിവെച്ച് മണ്ണിട്ട് നിരത്തിയാൽ മതി. രണ്ടുമാസത്തിനുള്ളിൽ മുളങ്കുറ്റി പൂർണമായും മണ്ണിൽ ലയിച്ചുചേരുമെന്നും തെളിഞ്ഞെന്ന് കെ.ബിനു പറഞ്ഞു. കെ.ബിനു, വൃക്ഷ പരിസ്ഥിതി സംരക്ഷണസമിതി സംസ്ഥാന കോ-ഓർഡിനേറ്റർ എസ്.ബിജു, ഒയിസ്‌കാ ഇന്റർനാഷണൽ കോട്ടയം ചാപ്റ്റർ പ്രസിഡന്റ് ഗോപകുമാർ കങ്ങഴ, വേണാട്ട് വി.എൻ.രാജീവ് എന്നിവർ ചേർന്നാണ് മുളംകുറ്റികൾ തയ്യാറാക്കിയത്.

    വിത്ത് പാകാൻ പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക് കൂടിനു പകരം മുളങ്കുറ്റിയുമായി പരിസ്ഥിതി പ്രവർത്തകർ. പുതിയ രീതി അവതരിപ്പിക്കുന്നത് സംസ്ഥാന വനംവന്യജീവി ബോർഡംഗം കെ. ബിനുവിന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലുള്ള പരിസ്ഥിതി പ്രവർത്തകർ. ഒന്നരക്കോടി പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക് കൂടുകളാണ് വിത്തുപാകാൻ സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് വനംവകുപ്പും സ്വകാര്യനഴ്‌സറികളും ഒരു വർഷം ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്. ഇത്രയും പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക് മണ്ണിലേക്കെത്തുന്നത് തടയുന്നതിനാണ് മുളങ്കുറ്റി പരീക്ഷണം. അടുത്ത മഴക്കാലത്ത് മുളങ്കുറ്റികളിൽ മണ്ണ് നിറച്ച് പാകി കിളിർപ്പിച്ച തൈകളാകും തങ്ങൾ വിതരണം ചെയ്യുകയെന്ന് സംഘാടകർ പറഞ്ഞു.വൃക്ഷ പരിസ്ഥിതി സംരക്ഷണസമിതിയും ഒയിസ്‌കാ ഇന്റർനാഷണലും സംയുക്തമായാണ് പുതിയരീതി പരീക്ഷിക്കുന്നത്. പച്ചമുളയും മഞ്ഞമുളയും വിത്ത് കിളിർപ്പിക്കുന്നതിന് ഉപയോഗിക്കാം. ഒരുമുളയിൽനിന്ന് അൻപതിലേറെ മുളങ്കുറ്റികൾ ലഭിക്കും. രണ്ട് മുളമുട്ടുകൾ തമ്മിലുള്ള അകലം 25 മുതൽ 32 സെന്റീമീറ്റർ വരെ ഉള്ളതിനാൽ തൈകൾക്ക് രണ്ട് വർഷത്തോളം ഇതിൽതന്നെ വളരാൻ കഴിയും. കുഴിയെടുത്ത് കുറ്റിയോടെ ഇറക്കിവെച്ച് മണ്ണിട്ട് നിരത്തിയാൽ മതി. രണ്ടുമാസത്തിനുള്ളിൽ മുളങ്കുറ്റി പൂർണമായും മണ്ണിൽ ലയിച്ചുചേരുമെന്നും തെളിഞ്ഞെന്ന് കെ.ബിനു പറഞ്ഞു. കെ.ബിനു, വൃക്ഷ പരിസ്ഥിതി സംരക്ഷണസമിതി സംസ്ഥാന കോ-ഓർഡിനേറ്റർ എസ്.ബിജു, ഒയിസ്‌കാ ഇന്റർനാഷണൽ കോട്ടയം ചാപ്റ്റർ പ്രസിഡന്റ് ഗോപകുമാർ കങ്ങഴ, വേണാട്ട് വി.എൻ.രാജീവ് എന്നിവർ ചേർന്നാണ് മുളംകുറ്റികൾ തയ്യാറാക്കിയത്.
