ലോക വ്യാപകമായി ഉയര്ന്ന എതിര്പ്പിനെ തുടര്ന്ന് നിര്ത്തിവച്ച തിമിംഗല വേട്ട ജപ്പാന് പുനരാരംഭിക്കുന്നു.ഇതിന്റെ ഭാഗമായ അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര തിമിംഗല വേട്ട കമ്മീഷനില് നിന്നു ജപ്പാന് പിന്മാറി.അടുത്ത വര്ഷം മുതല് തിമിംഗല വേട്ട വീണ്ടും ആരംഭിക്കുമെന്നു ജപ്പാന് വ്യക്തമാക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ജപ്പാന്റെ അധികാരപരിധിയിലുള്ള സമുദ്രഭാഗത്തു മാത്രമാണ് തിമിംഗില വേട്ട നടത്തുകയെന്നും അന്റാര്ട്ടിക് മേഖലയില് വേട്ട നടത്തില്ലെന്നും ജപ്പാന്റെ ഔദ്യോഗിക വക്താവ് യോഷിഹൈദ് സുഗ വ്യക്തമാക്കി. തിമിംഗില വേട്ട അനുവദിക്കണമെന്ന ആവശ്യം അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര തിമിംഗില വേട്ട കമ്മീഷന് തള്ളിയതിനെ തുടര്ന്നാണ് ജപ്പാന് കമ്മീഷനില്നിന്ന് പിന്മാറിയത്. തുടര്ന്നായിരുന്നു വേട്ട പുനരാരംഭിക്കുമെന്ന പ്രഖ്യാപനം.ശാസ്ത്രീയ പരീക്ഷണങ്ങള്ക്കായാണ് തിമിംഗില വേട്ട നടത്തുന്നതെന്നായിരുന്നു ജപ്പാന്റെ നിലപാട്.എന്നാല് ജപ്പാന് വന്തോതില് തിമിംഗലങ്ങളെ കൊന്നൊടുക്കുകയും ഇവയുടെ മാംസം മാര്ക്കറ്റിലെത്തിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നത് ലോക വ്യാപകമായി എതിര്പ്പുകള്ക്കിടയാക്കിയിരുന്നു. ഇക്കാര്യം ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര തിമിംഗില വേട്ട കമ്മീഷനും രംഗത്തെത്തിയിരുന്നു. ഓസ്ട്രേലിയ, അമേരിക്ക, യൂറോപ്യന് യൂണിയന് എന്നിവയെല്ലാം തിമിംഗില വേട്ടയ്ക്ക് എതിരായി ശക്തമായ നിലപാടാണ് സ്വീകരിച്ചുവരുന്നത്.തിമിംഗില വേട്ട നിരോധിക്കുന്നതിനായി ലോക രാജ്യങ്ങള് ചേര്ന്ന് രൂപവത്കരിച്ച തിമിംഗില വേട്ട കമ്മീഷന് ശാസ്ത്രീയ പരീക്ഷണങ്ങളുടെ ഭാഗമായി തിമിംഗിലങ്ങളെ വേട്ടയാടാന് അനുമതി നല്കാറുണ്ട്. ഈ പഴുത് ഉപയോഗിച്ചായിരുന്നു ജപ്പാന് വന് തോതില് തിമിംഗില വേട്ട നടത്തിവന്നിരുന്നത്. ഇപ്പോള് കമ്മീഷനില്നിന്ന് പിന്മാറുന്നതോടെ ഈ വ്യവസ്ഥ ലംഘിച്ച് വന്തോതില് തിമിംഗിലങ്ങളെ വേട്ടയാടാനാണ് ജപ്പാന് ലക്ഷ്യംവെക്കുന്നത്.നവംബര് മുതല് ഫെബ്രുവരി വരെയുള്ള ദക്ഷിണ ധ്രുവത്തിലെ വേനല് കാലത്ത് രൂപപ്പെടുന്ന പ്രത്യേക കാലാവസ്ഥയിലാണ് തിമിംഗില വേട്ട നടക്കുന്നത്.നൂറ്റാണ്ടുകളായി ജപ്പാന് തിമിംഗിലങ്ങളെ വന് തോതില് വേട്ടയാടുകയും അവയുടെ ഇറച്ചി ഭക്ഷണാവശ്യങ്ങള്ക്ക് ഉപയോഗിക്കുകയും ചെBy News60 ML| 47 views

ലോക വ്യാപകമായി ഉയര്ന്ന എതിര്പ്പിനെ തുടര്ന്ന് നിര്ത്തിവച്ച തിമിംഗല വേട്ട ജപ്പാന് പുനരാരംഭിക്കുന്നു.ഇതിന്റെ ഭാഗമായ അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര തിമിംഗല വേട്ട കമ്മീഷനില് നിന്നു ജപ്പാന് പിന്മാറി.അടുത്ത വര്ഷം മുതല് തിമിംഗല വേട്ട വീണ്ടും ആരംഭിക്കുമെന്നു ജപ്പാന് വ്യക്തമാക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ജപ്പാന്റെ അധികാരപരിധിയിലുള്ള സമുദ്രഭാഗത്തു മാത്രമാണ് തിമിംഗില വേട്ട നടത്തുകയെന്നും അന്റാര്ട്ടിക് മേഖലയില് വേട്ട നടത്തില്ലെന്നും ജപ്പാന്റെ ഔദ്യോഗിക വക്താവ് യോഷിഹൈദ് സുഗ വ്യക്തമാക്കി. തിമിംഗില വേട്ട അനുവദിക്കണമെന്ന ആവശ്യം അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര തിമിംഗില വേട്ട കമ്മീഷന് തള്ളിയതിനെ തുടര്ന്നാണ് ജപ്പാന് കമ്മീഷനില്നിന്ന് പിന്മാറിയത്. തുടര്ന്നായിരുന്നു വേട്ട പുനരാരംഭിക്കുമെന്ന പ്രഖ്യാപനം.ശാസ്ത്രീയ പരീക്ഷണങ്ങള്ക്കായാണ് തിമിംഗില വേട്ട നടത്തുന്നതെന്നായിരുന്നു ജപ്പാന്റെ നിലപാട്.എന്നാല് ജപ്പാന് വന്തോതില് തിമിംഗലങ്ങളെ കൊന്നൊടുക്കുകയും ഇവയുടെ മാംസം മാര്ക്കറ്റിലെത്തിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നത് ലോക വ്യാപകമായി എതിര്പ്പുകള്ക്കിടയാക്കിയിരുന്നു. ഇക്കാര്യം ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര തിമിംഗില വേട്ട കമ്മീഷനും രംഗത്തെത്തിയിരുന്നു. ഓസ്ട്രേലിയ, അമേരിക്ക, യൂറോപ്യന് യൂണിയന് എന്നിവയെല്ലാം തിമിംഗില വേട്ടയ്ക്ക് എതിരായി ശക്തമായ നിലപാടാണ് സ്വീകരിച്ചുവരുന്നത്.തിമിംഗില വേട്ട നിരോധിക്കുന്നതിനായി ലോക രാജ്യങ്ങള് ചേര്ന്ന് രൂപവത്കരിച്ച തിമിംഗില വേട്ട കമ്മീഷന് ശാസ്ത്രീയ പരീക്ഷണങ്ങളുടെ ഭാഗമായി തിമിംഗിലങ്ങളെ വേട്ടയാടാന് അനുമതി നല്കാറുണ്ട്. ഈ പഴുത് ഉപയോഗിച്ചായിരുന്നു ജപ്പാന് വന് തോതില് തിമിംഗില വേട്ട നടത്തിവന്നിരുന്നത്. ഇപ്പോള് കമ്മീഷനില്നിന്ന് പിന്മാറുന്നതോടെ ഈ വ്യവസ്ഥ ലംഘിച്ച് വന്തോതില് തിമിംഗിലങ്ങളെ വേട്ടയാടാനാണ് ജപ്പാന് ലക്ഷ്യംവെക്കുന്നത്.നവംബര് മുതല് ഫെബ്രുവരി വരെയുള്ള ദക്ഷിണ ധ്രുവത്തിലെ വേനല് കാലത്ത് രൂപപ്പെടുന്ന പ്രത്യേക കാലാവസ്ഥയിലാണ് തിമിംഗില വേട്ട നടക്കുന്നത്.നൂറ്റാണ്ടുകളായി ജപ്പാന് തിമിംഗിലങ്ങളെ വന് തോതില് വേട്ടയാടുകയും അവയുടെ ഇറച്ചി ഭക്ഷണാവശ്യങ്ങള്ക്ക് ഉപയോഗിക്കുകയും ചെBy News60 ML| 47 views
