Sarchu to Leh | Episode 3 | Dekh Leh | Ladakh Vlog Series

In the third episode of our mini-series, we bring you glimpses of what our journey from Sarchu to Leh looked like. The night wasn’t easy. At an altitude of 14,070 feet, there are many health-related issues you can face in Sarchu. You become extremely prone to develop AMS but for that very reason, it is important to spend time here as it makes your body acclimatized to the weather as well as the ascend. It is important to note that it’s crucial to keep your body hydrated whenever making a journey that requires you to go on a high altitude which is exactly what we did to avoid any further health-related risks as we spent more time in Sarchu.

After a few hours, it worked as the uneasiness and discomfort left our body and we embarked on our journey to Leh.

The trip offers an incredible opportunity to explore more places midway through Leh. The Pangong Tso lake, one of the most sought-after destinations, popularised because of the Aamir Khan movie 3 idiots is en route to Leh.

Situated at an altitude of more than 16,000 ft and surrounded by lofty mountains, the view at Moore plains was something out of the ordinary with the panoramic view of the Himalayas overlooking your shoulder and a stretch of plain land spreading like a tapestry beneath your feet.

After a long drive, you get the best view of Tangalanga top, which is a high altitude mountain pass situated at an altitude of 17,480 ft with a panoramic view of the great Himalayas and is the pride of Ladakh.

Afterward, we had lunch at one local restaurant before resuming our long drive. Finally, we arrived at Leh but dusk had fallen and the entire district had hidden behind a veil of darkness. But there was nothing to fret about because this is just the beginning.
